@RushDrum99 The reply is late, I know, but it's all for the purpose of sound. It's why orchestras are arranged specifically depending on what's in them. With them all pointing their instruments in the center, because the room is center, they can combine all their instruments into one wave. If they faced outward or toward any specific part of the crowd, instruments would be cut out.

I agree with the fact about the loudness....but the sound is very detailed. You can hear every instrument very clearly! I can't imagine just having one mic pick up so much detail...especially in that position...but I could be wrong.

Great show! Great band! I've always admired the level of production to put on a TV show like this. Which gets me thinking: How did they mic' these guys? I can only see one mic on a stand on the drummer's left side. I can't see any overheads or anything of a sort. Any ideas?

@piloto117 Well brass is fucking loud brother! The mic to the drummer would just get some overhead levels, so you'd have little amount, but at least some control over the drums. That much brass? Fuck microphones!

@piloto117 Actually, I take it back, the mic's not used for the drummers level, it's pointed at what seems to be the dude playing the lead melody.. So they could somewhat control his levels.. Apologies bro x
