David Liar Cameron is one of the reasons why people tune out when politicians speak. Words are stripped of any meaning. A promise is not a promise. I'm not wasting a second longer listening to anyone from the three main parties. Switch off THEIR BBC, stop reading THEIR newspapers. Vote U.K.I.P.
Well Mr Burtton compared the EU to the United States btui thats wrong. Alll 50 states have much more economic freedoms than the COUNTRIES(not states) Within the EU
if the tory party truely meant to have a refurendum they would threaten a in or out vote if the treaty went ahead without 1. Would Europe take the chance of us voting to leave just to get the treaty up a year early?
Actually, Spain had a referendum on the constitution and voted Yes. I think another country did too. Of course, that doesn't change the fact that the countries you mentioned voted No and that should have been the end of it. No countries except Ireland had a vote on the Lisbon Treaty.
Yes, we voted in 2005 and an overwhelming majority said YES (althought the turnout was lower than 35%). But don't get deceived, Spain is European just because the EU gave us a lot of funding during the 80's and the 90's to create public facilities at UK, France or Germany expense. We have a shameful propaganda in favour of the EU and the main parties support it. There's no debate about Europe at all and no one knows what the LT is. You should feel happy to have parties like UKIP there.
My comment, to which you are replying, has been removed. I am a UKIP member. I hate the EU. However, it is important that we tell the truth, that some countries did vote for the constitution. Your reply tells us why they did - in order to get their hands on our money. We need to show the people of the UK and Europe that the EU is an unelected dictatorship and we must get out of it as soon as possible. I believe in free speech. Whoever removed my earlier comment doesn't, it seems.

Only three countrys had a referendum:
France voted No their government overuled them
Holland voted No their government overuled them
My country Ireland voted No so we were asked a year later to vote again..
This time there was a EU funded Scare Campaign about the Economy, The main partys had posters saying "Yes to jobs, Yes to Europe".
The scared folded and the gullible bought into the bullshit and the majority signed away our independence here in Ireland presuming it wasn't rigged.

Yes, but you understand the point.

Oh I understand the point and I agree with you.
I'm just ranting because I really want to see the treaty shot down.
