  • Adean's lover talk was in the beginning of Chapter 4 with Midayle for the Hero Bow (could've been with Jamka too, or Azel for the Rescue Staff, or Claude for that staff in Chapter 5), and Lachesis' lover talk is done by way of Fin talking with Nanna for the +5 speed boost.

  • @Greener221

    Yes I know that.

  • @ChristopherTheKnight Actually, I was just saying in general so as to list off things for my own sanity.

  • @Greener221

    Good for you, then.

  • Yeah, Azel is kinda mean in his convo with Tiltyu. I just chalk it up to him wanting to say "don't betray yourself and kill your own dad" or something only he's not known for his brilliance at talking to women. (See chapter 1 Edain convo)

  • I always laugh at the Sylvia/Alec conversation...they're the two I would expect to get a kid because they didn't think!

  • Also the growths aren't so much "killer" as they are "redundant". Holyn and Ayra have virtually the same growths, but Holyn has more HP and skill and less luck and speed. Lackhe and Skashker don't NEED that overkill Skill growth lol.

  • Eh, I like Holin/Ayra for solid growth and two good sword skills, but you could easily get the former with most Ayra pairings and the latter with Deu. And Holin's overkill skill is best used on Bridget's son, with his 70% holy weapon.

(Or you could be kooky and make Holin/Sylvia, which almost makes Leen an okay fighter. But, sigh, dancer stat caps!)

  • Holyn/Bridget is a better use for Holyn. Holyn/Ayra just makes the kids redundant without fixing any weaknesses Ayra (or Holyn) have, eg Defense/MDef/Speed/Str.

  • I still can't believe Holin/Bridget isn't a destined option. @_@

(IF you ever want overkill, though? Noish/Ayra. Noish himself isn't that stellar but watching the kids destroy things is a lot of fun.)

  • Noishe is basically only good for being a dad. Great supplement skills and solid growths to add onto a mother with excellent growths.

The best pair for Ayra though is Finn. He gives them much needed luck with modest defense, so they have a good chance of maxing everything except MDef and Magic. Prayer means when they do actually get hit, they become even MORE untouchable.

  • I've paired him with Ayra, Fury, Bridget and Lachesis. I've never been disappointed.

I like Finn/Ayra! FE guides and forums don't give Finn a whole lot of credit, but Finn/Ayra, Lachesis and Edain have worked really well for me in the past.

  • I don't see the advantage of Finn and Aideen, given his luck is moot due to Ulir Blood, and he can't pass down bows to Lester.

  • True. XD; Still, I found it useful at least. Plus, Finn and Rana get a talk event. (I'm a sucker for interesting storyline bits)

  • @ChristopherTheKnight It gives the kids Pursuit and Miracle, and lets Lana get +3 magic in Chapter 7. But I still prefer him either unpaired or, more preferably, paired with Lachesis.

Also, Reptor's magic is 8 digits above the Baron cap.

  • The Balmunk glitch is cool... but then Shanan is kind of useless. I like Lakche alot more, but I'm gonna take away Shanan's Holy Weapon for her.

  • That, and isn't Holyn like this creepy stalker? He follows Ayra around due to a crush, I think.

  • Damn. Reptor broke the game. Barons have a 22 Magic cap, yet he has 30 Magic.

He screws the rules, because he has a monocle.

  • He also has money.

  • The sylvia + Azel dialogue was funny. But I usually put Sylvia with Claude so that the Blaggi staff can be used in generation 2. I really have to wonder if Nintendo made an "official" story, what would the couplings really be.

  • I don't really need the Valk Staff, so yeah. Lol.

And there are a number of "official" couplings, its any pairing that warrants a special talk at this point in the game. Only Levin+Fury and Beowulf+Lachesis+Finn are concrete.

  • If Claude had more to offer than a staff only two people could use, he'd make a GREAT father simply for that high magic defense. @_@

  • No he wouldn't. His growths are abyssmal except for that MDef. About the only pairing you can get legitimate use from the MDef is Ayra/Claude, because Ayra could mate with a BROOMSTICK and still produce two badass children. In Claude's case, you basically get Ayra 2.0s but with MDef, but even then they cap it at like 21 or 22. Might be useful against Isthar though.

  • That's what I meant by 'if he had more to offer'. XD Better growths in other areas, a few skills. As it stands I only find him useful for Sylvia and Fury's children, otherwise I don't bother except for Reserve Staff spam. :/

  • You'll see in my LP that Claude isn't even needed for Sylvia's children. With Alec as the father, Corple literally has almost the same growth rates, just less magic and MDef, but he still gets enough MDef to tank on the final chapter.

  • True! XD Sylvia herself offers mdef from minor Blagi, Claude just means overkill bonus. (But I like overkill. It's why I pair Bridget with Holin a lot, and sometimes with Lex. XD)
