No no no no no lol. Right when he says the reason it's hard to surpress a shotgun is because theres so much gas I call bullshit. Silencing a shotgun is tough because the pellets are not sealed in the barrel. The gas can escape before they do releasing the noise. Pistols are easy because the solid bullet holds back the gases and only begins to release them once it passes through the suppressor. As for a slug its like a regular bullet only a much bigger opening giving the gas more area to escape.
@PatronSaint210 In order to do this you have to make a suppressor that keeps the gasses maintained for longer. Giving it time to decipate. Most people simply don't make enough baffles inside the mechanism or don't make it long enough. Even then your not going to have a completely silent shotgun but i've seen 12 gauges reduced to the sound of a .22.

A suppressed shot is useless... In all suppressed weapons, the silencer lowers all accuracy and other attributes for the suppressed weapon. A shotgun has no precision... It's a spread shot for a reason, to take out multiple targets or to catch a target in a large area of fire. It's range is shortened when suppressed, therefor, your shotgun is combatant worthless...

@conciousness88 iv seen that 410 suppssed shotgun, i just consider it totally different considering its a 410 so its much easier to suppress. ive seen the masterkey b4 but in some ways i feel that reds jacket's version is better in some ways. i do think an internally suppressed ak may have been done, but i think i remember it had it's range accuracy stopping power ect was DRASTICLY reduced, the second season opener was pretty awesome lol, love the small army they assembled
@chubbs636 the idea that suppressors make guns "weaker" is a misconception stemming from the common pairing of subsonic ammunition with suppressors in order to make a truly "silenced" weapon. Subsonic rounds are traveling slower, therefore reduced range, more bullet drop, and less kinetic energy ("stopping power"). You can still use supersonic rounds out of a suppressed weapon, but it won't really be much quieter at all. Still like 150dB i think depending on the round used.

No no no no no lol. Right when he says the reason it's hard to surpress a shotgun is because theres so much gas I call bullshit. Silencing a shotgun is tough because the pellets are not sealed in the barrel. The gas can escape before they do releasing the noise. Pistols are easy because the solid bullet holds back the gases and only begins to release them once it passes through the suppressor. As for a slug its like a regular bullet only a much bigger opening giving the gas more area to escape.

@PatronSaint210 In order to do this you have to make a suppressor that keeps the gasses maintained for longer. Giving it time to decipate. Most people simply don't make enough baffles inside the mechanism or don't make it long enough. Even then your not going to have a completely silent shotgun but i've seen 12 gauges reduced to the sound of a .22.

A suppressed shot is useless... In all suppressed weapons, the silencer lowers all accuracy and other attributes for the suppressed weapon. A shotgun has no precision... It's a spread shot for a reason, to take out multiple targets or to catch a target in a large area of fire. It's range is shortened when suppressed, therefor, your shotgun is combatant worthless...

To be honest the only good episode was the flamethrower one and that was simply because they reinstated a flamethrower to make it work again

and the internally suppressed ak-47 is possible by the hands of a skilled gunsmith. that being said, i dont know who did what in what order, and i am a fan of red jackets work. theyre skilled as they come

@conciousness88 iv seen that 410 suppssed shotgun, i just consider it totally different considering its a 410 so its much easier to suppress. ive seen the masterkey b4 but in some ways i feel that reds jacket's version is better in some ways. i do think an internally suppressed ak may have been done, but i think i remember it had it's range accuracy stopping power ect was DRASTICLY reduced, the second season opener was pretty awesome lol, love the small army they assembled

@chubbs636 the idea that suppressors make guns "weaker" is a misconception stemming from the common pairing of subsonic ammunition with suppressors in order to make a truly "silenced" weapon. Subsonic rounds are traveling slower, therefore reduced range, more bullet drop, and less kinetic energy ("stopping power"). You can still use supersonic rounds out of a suppressed weapon, but it won't really be much quieter at all. Still like 150dB i think depending on the round used.

They clearly said that at 0:47 that no one's been able to successfully contain or otherwise deal with the gases of a shotgun to suppress volume, which is bullshit its been done for decades.
Limitations of stores that do this is based off gun laws and demand, not the fact that Red Jacket is legendary by any means.
