not in my eyes...i feel it hasnt advanced enough....out of all the games they dont vary much. at least other titles try new things....good cop bad cop with true crime. all the fight clubs, races, dojos, ways to heal. policing up civillian cars, buying cars, going in buildings (more for new york haha). different crimes in them, arresting perps in any way you want to..frisking...bigger maps. i feel gta has kept to a basic template for games of this genre....its a cool series but not my favorite

compare the graphics with gta iv and saints row2. it looks like saints row2 was made for ps2. gta iv is a game with perfect controls and amazing real life graphics + amazing story. the story on sr2 is shitty

they are not real life graphics they are just good. saints row doesnt have those graphic cus it doesnt take itself seriously so it chose graphics to suit the gameplay....

as for story they were both ok...both still shitty and cliche'd to hell though...but hey as far as im concerned stories are running out of ideas anyway

both are good games for different reasons. gta 4 for a serious emotional story. or saints row for a wacky cartoony experience and story

also i dont think realistic graphics are always better...graphics have to suit the game. a fun zany cartoon game? dont give it ultra mega high graphics then....a gritty dark game like gta or manhunt...yeah give it close to real graphics...but not too close, i wanna still feel like im playing a game

well yeah thats a good point.....a good way to vent i guess. as long as they dont make it too real...id hate to get busted in gta and wait for like 2 game years to get out, or failing that serve time for any length of time....if i want a prison play ill go find a prison tycoon, im sure it exists, everything else has a tycoon game >_>

if you had to wait two game years to get out of prison, there should be rewind button, but if you like to hang out in a prison and ass rape fellow inmates you could choose to skip it or not to skip it. a suitable mixture of real life and game life equals a hit game.

gta is better graphics, tcla so much better soundtrack ; ) the soundtrack is real hard to find, but type in "true crime streets of la soundtrack" on youtube search and you'll geta playlist. with an audio ripping program, I suggest TubeTilla, you can get all of it for free XD
