I love how in Rocky II he says, "Yo Adrian, I did it," but in this movie he says, "Yo Adrian we did it." Rather small detail, but it has a ton of meaning. =)
Sly you are a Legend!! if you watch all the movies then you will cry at this end! Sly/Rocky movies is a part of my life, he is my icon! Greetz from the Netherlands
I remember when I first saw this when it came out, I was tearing up. Five years later, I'm watching it on Showtime I was still crying. This goes to show how powerful this scene was and that it still holds up.
This was filmed in the beautiful Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia. The headstone they created for the movie is there on display along with the chair he sits in. Sylvester Stallone is fond of this cemetery and it's one of the best in America, and oldest.
I was 15 when I had a bad hamstring due to one accident during a football game. Doctors told me that I wont be able to pick up heavy things and play ever in my life again! But ROCKY series changed my life. I was so inspired and today after 6 years I can do all I wanted in my life.
This movie has changed my life and this scene in particular is the best!
@ishaniac this movie series has influenced me and changed me in so many different ways man i gave up on alot in life n the roky movies helped me threw hard times this scene is the saddest but i agree this is one the best scenes man rocky forever
I dont have words to say bt umm....All the series was ultimately Fabulous...& SLY did it awesomely gr8.......but its very disappointing & kind of upset thing to see this series has ended............& the best part of this video is when it ends the music & all our feelings which r attached to it are fell at once from the eye a little bit...........
thank you SLY......Really you gave us the gr8est thing from this all series.........
This is hearthbreaking!! this scene, but people there is gonna be rocky7 stallone says something about the rocky movies when he was filming expendables, the older i got the more i got write a new rocky he says i hope!! he is my inspiration!! ROCKY BALBOA FOR EVER!!!
" First time I saw this scene I cried a little. My wife made fun of me, lol. Rocky was such an important part of my childhood that this final scene really hit home."
I 110% did the same and my wife made fun of me to , but hey - she dont know.
I growed up with rocky , i saw him do his first fights - saw his training - saw his friend die ... and this cene realy brings everything home. Perfekt ending to a movie character that started way back in the 80.s.. Rocky you are the best !!!
Perfect way to wrap up my favorite movie series...Question...Isn't this song the one that plays when Adrain wakes fromt he coma in II? As Rocky says "Thank God"....?
i love this part of the movie and it is very sad and it is sad when he leaves and says yo adrian we did....we did it i wonder what is the name of this song that is playing on this video and anyways i love this part still:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
That's the perfect line to end the Rocky saga with. This is easily one of my favorite movies in the whole series. I have to say though, I do chuckle a bit every time I see the words, "The End" pop up. It's almost like Sly is saying to us, "Look, I PROMISE this time."
This was the perfect way to end the Rocky saga, IMO. "Rocky Balboa" was done amazingly well. Slower than the previous movies, but this one wasn't about the fight as much as it was about coming to grips with the past and gaining closure. 5 stars!
the thing is... even with some limitations in the script (because I know they could do better) this scene and the whole idea of the movie, represented the best ending for the rocky saga. Hes a legend now
Stallone is actually a great actor, his "Action star" status always overshadowed this i think. I mean if u watch his Rocky films he really gets into the character, and plays it very real. the emotion everything, I think if he would have been offered other roles, he could have proved this.
Touching scene. Makes me feel very sad. This is the last time we get to see the legend Rocky Balboa. My God, he is the most inspirational person ever. In my opinion, this is the best movie series ever.
I can't sit through this movie without crying no matter how often I see it. As much as I wish Adrian was still alive in this film, I understand why Stallone had to do it this way . And ending it like this showed how important she was in Rocky's life and to the entire franchise.
First time I saw this scene I cried a little. My wife made fun of me, lol. Rocky was such an important part of my childhood that this final scene really hit home.
If you notticed in all the Rocky movies he says , "Yo Adrian I did it." But in this one he says, "Yo Adrian we did it." That is what really teared me up in this movie when he says that.
@MotoscuterZ Exactly, and the studios couldn't find another "Adrian" like Talia. This was the only way to do the end. If she would have played, the end of "Rocky" series would have been less melancholic. But it's o.k. Wrote history and nothing could change this. this is a very sad ending i wish this wasn't the final rocky movie also this ending his very sad i know that rocky is 50 but he can't give up maybe they can make a prequel to the rocky series like we could see how he became interested in boxing how e met mickey and what his parents looked like

Why do they always have to end good series on a sad note? Rocky poor and back where he started without his wife? Its pathetic.

I am glad part 6 was released when it came, showed truely where Rocky was about.
While other actors made impression with their movies or fun entertaining movies, Sylvester Stallone learned and helped many in life.
Thanks for everything.
