in the 1996-1997 neither of those wrestlers could have carried the business during some of it's darkest period of it's time (WCW was dominating) and the undertaker was not a bigger draw then him in that time period face the facts you can't win this debate Shawn Michaels is simply overall better than the Undertaker and pretty much any other wrestler. Try another debate like Undertaker vs Stone Cold or whatever. Shawn is in a class of his own

With a broken back HBK put on a match of the year match, his first match in over 4 years he puts on a show stopping match. He even had match of the year with Vince McMahon. i think there's an arguement to be made that steamboat is by far the best babyface, and ric flair is the best heel. Shawn was fantastic in each role, and is considered the total package, as a heel, face, in ring performer, promo cutter, etc, etc. Thats the most resounding arguement for HBK as the greatest of all time. and i personally agree with that theory...
