Blues is a feeling, you just don't play the blues or listen to the blues you feel the blues. It sounds like you are feeling the blues and welcome to our world.

Best rendition of Sweet Home I ever heard barring the original master himself. Love this video. Does anyone know if this is on a DVD???

@HoleHeadedLiar -- yeah, this damn fool would be Hubert Sumlin (passed away this month), who played the killer leads on Howlin' Wolf's albums -- he really deserves to be in the credits on this. And for the record, until Buddy Guy came along, everyone thought the fuller sound of a lLes Paul or ES335 was the only sound for the blues, that a Strat was too "thin." Some still feel this way -- myself, I like 'em both, that's why I have an LP, SG and 335 and more "a few" Strats...

@jdunaway65 Well, Rest his soul. Yeah, I understand the tone thing, but, the simple fact of the matter is, unless you've got true-blue PAFs, those humbuckers are gonna get muddy QUICK. Single Coils, it's true, have to be wound just right ('59 Strat pickups, or something over-wound or under-wound with diminished mid-range response), but, with the exception of a small handful of boutique hand-wound PAF copies, you can't get the bell-like clarity of a single coil from a humbucker.

Now, I'd like to have a couple of Les Pauls, or at least the Xavierre copies. Same thing for an ES-335 copy. But, I'm a die-hard stratocaster fan and I wouldn't EVER play anything *BUT* a Strat live: the reduced weight is good for my arthritic knees and back. (Yeah, I know I'm only 19...Marfan Syndrome sucks)
