  • What is with everyone playing this song drop D?

Watch is live and you'll see Slash tunes to D standard.

  • @iiMxDaNiiEL because it was recorded in drop D

  • @RockerCroatia no it was recorded in D standard, if you the making of the album you see Slash and Matt Shadows sitting infront of a big mixing desk playing guitars.

  • 2:16 :D

  • This is a really good cover, where did you get your tabs or was it all by ear?

  • Nice dude, how long have you been playing Guitar for?

  • @tayssir3031 Thank you ! It's been 3 years since I played guitar. I think this piece is a fairly technical but otherwise it is very easy.

  • im workin on my own cover right now hopefully it comes out likes urs! :D lolz

  • great cover! is standard tuning?

  • @rodrygnrslash No, Drop D.

  • good shit bro good shitt =D

  • @nic922 Thx dude ! :)

  • Hey could you put up a vid on how to play the riff that starts at about 0:30?

  • @landoftheninja its not that hard just look where his hand is and find out by yourself.. you will become a much better guitarist by doing that instead of looking at tabs or lessons.....

  • @DJBackslick I hope that was sarcasm what you said because how the fuck would you learn from his hand movements when you have a tab right in front of you and how would you be able to find out what he's hitting if a guitarists doing solo you're gonna have to play it back to see what frets he's hitting and another thing how would you become a much better guitarist from not looking at tabs or lessons?

  • @ExileratingX dude, that guy asked about the riff that hes playing at 0:30 - even though i know how to play it myself you clearly see how hes playing it here (strumming the dropped string and adding notes on the A string) its not that hard. And yes, you become a lot better at "knowing your guitar" by listening to the song you want to play and tab it out by ear.. I usually do that and if im really unsure i look at videos of that guitarist playing live, mainly to see where on the neck he plays it.

  • @ExileratingX Transcribing by ear is much better to do than looking at tabs or lessons. You become to know the guitarists playing style much better, and it benefits greatly in the future if you are going to move on to song writing. It's also more satisfying playing the song fully with no help other than the song playing itself.

  • @ExileratingX just like he said... you get to know your guitar

you must be a beginner if youve never learned anything by ear, and if you have been playing long, you should be able to learn by ear.

  • is this drop d tuning?
