  • The stang has been around since its inception. But how long will these muscle cars last with super high gas prices? $100+ to fill the tank up. 1-2-3 times a week?...shitty economy?...$4-$5-$6/gal gas. Prius anyone?...

  • @nismofury dunno about u but im from kuwait which means to fill up the hole gas tanky 5 kd which is 18 dollars

  • oooh nowww they add in the paddle shifters. jerks

  • Wait trans is made in Mexico.., somthing to think about...

  • Thats it, I am getting this car next.

  • I thought the gt500 was going to be 1000hp twin turbo.. Time to replace the supercharger witch put 80lbs of weight extra to the front.. Let's turbo it...

  • whats better gt500 or 302 boss? sum1 plz reply

  • @Unboxings73 the gt500 is going to be better number wise, the new one i think has 650hp idk how much fpt but all around its going to be better. the boss is more of a car that guys can buy and have it smoke people on the track but at the same time be an awesome home car. the boss is slightly better tuned for the track then the 500 but either way they are both great

  • 650 hp?! is alot of power but can it corner properly thats my real question

  • @JaguarRB20 can the ls 302 out run m3's, r8's, and ferrari's on the track? the answer to both questions, is yes

  • 650 HP Stock Nice!

  • i cant wait to see that shelby in action!!!

  • talk about not going to last long, teenage girls dads are just going to give thier daughter these things and they are all going to crash.

  • 650 horse's!!!!!! :O

  • I'm gonna guess 11.6 1/4 mile and 0-60 in 3.4-3.8 seconds. For 50k and still able to mod it, this will probably be the best value to performance ratio ever

  • I want to see it race a Z06.

  • Paddle shifters on a mustang...... I don't think so.

  • not too fond of the GT500 front end for everything and no more powerdome hoods

  • @GT500Shelby07 i think that we can all agree that the 2010-12 hood looked bad ass but the 2013 gt500 in my opinion is one of the best partly because i never really liked front grilles

  • @GhostFaceKilllah Yeah it's all a matter of opinion and to each his own. Of course I gotta love the GT500 by default, but it just irks me that every other trim has the same exact front now.

  • that rear quarter panel looks like shit. it makes the rear windows even smaller than they were. and the new taillights arent doing it any justice. but other than that the car looks great and i applaud ford for reviving the 5.0. they shouldve kept the 09 body style but just with the new front end

  • Hollisterboy stfu gtfo. I saw green 2013 mustangs in vegas yesterday.one was a boss and the other I think was a gt500. I was shocked. I thought I would only see then at the show.

  • love the tail lights now all we need is a fast back

  • 1:01 "These aren't gonna last very long."

Yeah probably because they will all be crashed into walls when someone steps on the gas and the car can't get any traction with it's skinny tires.

  • The rear tires not wide enough is my only beef with Ford. Job well done.

  • I saw these cars in person today at the LAcar show. In my opinion I like the sleeker look of the 2012 5.0 compared to the new 2013 models.

  • No way. not 200mph maybe MAYBE 180.

  • @Hollisterb0yAustin Agree !!!

  • To some stupid coments down there. 2011 GT500 actualy beat M3 for 2.5 sec on streets of willow and as wel beat the boss by they call ir only half of second right there on streets of willow . Do some research import fan boys u stupid fucks are getting beat by a LRA blue "shitbox"

  • I love you ford, this is exactly what I've been begging for!!!! Launch control, 650hp, carbon fiber drive shaft, 6 piston calipers, electronic dampners, and an LCD screen that can display a/f ratio!!!! You have my order!!!

  • @JaySee5 Oh, so now it's all opinion, look you're obviously a pissed off teen, because any logical argument would have explained why a car that goes faster in a straight line lost to a car that was slower (but handled better). The BMW is a slug compared to the boss, so that's why the boss is compared to cars that are 3 to 5 times more expensive.

  • Can't we just oogle over the nice cars?

  • @Monsy11 Yeah. Rather if it's a Mustang, Challenger or Camaro. Lets just be glad that the American Muscle Car scene is coming back on the radar, and putting these rice burners back in their places.

  • I never liked the look of the GT500 front end should've kept the normal mustang looking like it had.

  • "these aren't gonna last very long..." neither will the transmission.

  • @alandona3 Which is a blown way out proportion issue that seems to not effect the Mustang at all seeing as there's 4 2011-2012 Mustang GT owners in the club I'm in that haven't had one grenaded transmission.

  • Mustang. owners who can handle their cars. unlike gm.

  • haha 650 hp on a suspension and tires from the horse caravan times! haha americans.

  • @veigadevil The Torsen differential is an upgraded live axle study it first then you won't sound like you have more mouth than brains, also lets see the car post some times, jerk.

  • @1vdn992 dude the mustang was made and though out as a 300(?) hp car and they put a 650 hp engine on that platform what do you think will happen?

have you seen cars that are made with 650 hp from stock? do they look like that blue box crap car?? jez men...

i tell you ppl gonna die in that blue box

  • @veigadevil Wow. Thanks for showing how intelligent you really are. You just said horse "caravans" had tires.

With 550hp, the previous GT500 is able to beat an Audi R8 V10 around a track. With just 412hp, it's able to match the performance of an E92 M3 around a track. Yeah, that LRA must be slowing it down, huh?

  • the mustang have the looks and the power of a well price car

and now even the v6 is fast and fuel efficient

  • im going to wait for the 2014 stang

  • Yeah, Mustang power!

  • when wil this car be at a dealer?

  • i dont believe you, prove it with a burnout.

  • Not liking that front grill, reminds me of the Mustang II from the 1970's. UGH!

But with 650 horsepower in the GT500, I can live with that ugly front end.

  • @nriqueog You need to buy a Camaro.

  • @1vdn992 why?

  • I think the changes are great and the Stang looks better than ever, BUT- why would anyone buy the '13's when this car is going to be completely revamped for the 2014 model year? Anyone?

  • @ericj305 2015 model year, not 2014. It'll be launched in 2014 to coincide with the 50th anniversary, but will be a 2015MY car.

  • @Elmo187 Ah, ok. Thanks. So two solid years with this latest incarnation...that makes a bit more sense. Although, come the 2015 model year, I would think the '13's a tough sell. We'll see.

  • Where's the ZL1?

  • damn fuck why did they do that i just got done pay a car note, fuck it looks like im going to have another one lol

  • holy shit

  • i have the hill holder function on my Z4MC

  • Camaro auto already has paddle shifters.....the shelby suck...sorry waste of space and money....650 hp and its still going to lose in a st8 line, and forget about the corners....Ford needs to bring back the gt plain and simple the only car I respect from ford....Dumb ass move ford....my thoughts...

  • @TBLACK9IN The fact that you have to announce to the whole world the size of your penis (which is probably false anyway) shows your complete and utter lack of intelligence.

  • @Elmo187 I really hate slow people who comment on another person thoughts and try to appear intelligent...Elmo I said nothing about my penis ,I stated how I felt about ford dislike and likes...I think alot of us are grown here, you like what you like which appears to be ford mustangs and big penises..I figure you just questioned your own man hood commenting on another mans penis..You intelligent pervert..TBLACK9IN has nothing to do with my penis...lmao to funny....

  • @TBLACK9IN Basically what you are saying is that a porsche 911 is a bad car because it's rear engine, which can be somewhat of a handicap, put to a trained driver the rear engine can actually help get quicker lap times and be more fun, much like a LRA. I'm done responding to your stupid statements, they are easily discredited and only a fool would believe them.

  • PIMP

  • I'm all about some power but I bet it STILL has a non-IRS rear end and more power doesn't help handling..

  • @snake1700grizz The TORSEN differential puts more power down than the IRS and if it's good enough for NHRA and NASCAR then it's good enough for me.

  • @1vdn992 Just discussing the topic. NHRA and Nascar, a circle and a straightline, not really comparable to daily driving IMO. Up and down hills, around curves...I just think its gonna suffer. A ZR1 I would think would top it in every way, even on the strip. Again just my logic and opinion!

  • @snake1700grizz You should read Motor Trends Oct, 2011 issure, "Best Drivers Car Comparison," the Boss Mustang was the least expensive out of the 11 cars but was given a 5th place finish.

  • @1vdn992 I checked it out... and your correct about the price, but we are talking about handling. Just saying bro. On that list that you talked about, all the others are IRS as well.... again, just saying!

  • what did he mean by "they're not gonna last very long"

did he mean it in a good or bad way?

  • @SixCombat He means they're going to sell out fast you Moron.

  • Hill holder -__-.. that S**T's for pussies, learn how to use the clutch and gas quickly, or use the handbrake.

  • Omg why do they all have ADD >_< Leave the look alone and focus on getting the most hp and mpgs out of your engines before you change anything else on the mustang's face!! Other then that great work :) just leave the look alone and change the grill back to its 2012 self.

  • I want that gt500

  • im going to la show soon

  • paddle shifters, finally

  • @royalsego no paddles just a little switch on the shifter...

  • God damn, these Mustangs get uglier and uglier every years. I laugh at those who pay for this.

  • @ReflexEight there fucking sexy u dumb shit face

  • @wiifire8 1. Don't use terrible grammar when you call someone dumb. You spelled "you" wrong and used the wrong "they're." 2. It's also my fault that I forgot to write "In my opinion, Mustangs are..." I did not mean to offend you because of my personal thoughts.

  • @ReflexEight This isn't english class, its the internet faggot I dont care bout gramer......

  • shelby better put some serious tiers on this one!!

  • Why 2013? 2012 hasn't even started.

  • Aren't going to last long. They'll be wrapped around trees, because their handling is shit.

  • That's just fukin sexy ;D what a beast!! :O

  • Yall didnt mention that the new shelby mustang can go 200 MPH

  • Mustang returning to it's powerful nature..

  • Nice looks!

  • if ford can manage beetween the 2years we see it to figure out a good launch control and figure a way of technologically puttin the power effectively down to the ground then id consider trading in the camaro. otherwise itll b like the super snake. just burning rubber no traction unless ur rolin around on slicks and not the dope ass stock super snake wheel. if thst get 0-60 in 3.5 or less im in. but like i said. itll all b in how ford decides to get that power to the ground

  • @fearleSScamaro2012 Motor Trend tested the Shelby GT350 and with just the 525 hp tune did 60 in 3.7s and a 12.0s flat 1/4 mile, that was bone stock. I guess that blows your theory Chevy fanboy that Ford's incompetent.

  • @fearleSScamaro2012 dude, its a muscle car, its not gona be able to put that much power down. Extracting that much power from the 5.0 isn't that hard, it is, as you've said putting said power down.

All in all, its not too hard to believe this was done to upstage the zl1. At least when it came to the camaro, chevy actually spent some time to tuning the chassis, suspension, airflow for handling.

  • @Bahamuttiamat you know that the shelby gt500 has been nurburgring tested

  • How to ruin the Camaro's day...

  • Sex on wheels...

  • @Xrobx6000X you sex wit legs!!!!

  • @ThisVidSuxAss The 500 NEVER referred to the horsepower of the GT500. You morons REALLY need to realize this.

If this were the case, then why the hell didn't the original GT500 of the late 60s have 500hp? It had 335hp. Hell, why didn't they rename the GT500 a GT540? How about renaming the 2011-2012 to GT550?

  • That 650 hp is so you can tell everyone you have 650 hp to negate the fact that you don't have the brains to get a proper sports car and wasted money on 650 hp.

  • @JaySee5 That 650hp is so it can take a shit on all the cars you consider a "proper sports car" and considering it can already take a shit on a audi r8 and m3, that leaves not many "proper sports cars" left to take a shit on. Its going for "proper super cars" now.

  • @n9athan No, the far less powerful Laguna Seca model was the one trying to match an M3. The GT500 would simply be laughed off the track unless it has long straights.

  • @JaySee5 Wrong, there was a comparison done by a car magazine, not sure which one, between the boss, gt500, 5.0, and v6. The gt500 is quicker around the track than the boss.

  • @n9athan Shows how much you know. The Laguna Seca isn't a normal Boss 302 and the GT500 is faster around a track with straights, but every review has named the Laguna Seca the better car.

  • @JaySee5 you do realize the only difference between the boss and the laguna seca edition is removed rear seats with steel bars replacing them to stiffen the chassis. Thats not going to make a big enough difference to beat the gt500. Not to mention the normal boss beats a m3 and audi r8 as well if you look at the lap times separately. All you have to do is use your reasoning skills, a stock gt can almost tie a m3 on the track.

  • @n9athan Further proof you have no idea what you're talking about. The Laguna Seca is much more than just roll bar and seat delete. It's the closest to a proper sports car as a Mustang can get.

    media[dot]ford[dot]com/article_display[dot]cfm?article_id=33065

  • @JaySee5 that article doesn't work even when i replace the dots, and you do realize the only difference between the 302 and laguna seca is the rear seats and almost meaningless front splitter right? I don't care what ford tells you the difference is almost non existent, you're a complete fool if you think a m3 has any shot at a boss considering a stock gt was slower than an m3 by less than a tenth of a second. The gt500 would destroy a m3 and beat a boss, the comparison has already been done.

  • @n9athan Strange. If you google boss laguna seca and scroll down a little you will find it. If you read it, you'll find you're totally wrong. Also, you're blabbering about some track time, but you fail to say WHAT TRACK. Not that it matters. A faster car is not a better car. The McLaren MP4-12C is faster than a Ferrari 458, but 458 is unanimously the better car. No respectable reviewer would ever say a GT500 is a better car than an M3. The only Mustang that was a proper sports car was the Cobra.

  • @JaySee5 it was willow springs and respectable viewer is relative, I am debating facts If you want to know what a professional race car driver thinks go watch the m3 vs 5.0 track attack video. Also many people debate about the mp412-c vs 458, you are extremely biased.

  • @n9athan There is no debate on the McLaren vs Ferrari. The Ferrari wins in every review. No one picks the McLaren. Fifth Gear, Top Gear, Autocar, etc. BRITISH reviewers pick the Ferrari.

  • @JaySee5 thats awesome, British reviewers except fifth gear, is extremely biased. Fifth gear being the only one that has test drivers from racing background from what I know. Stig does not review cars btw. I also still don't care, facts are facts opinion is opinion.

  • @n9athan That's the point. British reviewers are extremely biased towards... BRITISH CARS. What's a McLaren? A BRITISH CAR? Which won the EXTREMELY BIASED reviewers' favor? The Italian. Yes, facts are facts. Fact: independent suspensions are better than live rear axles. Fact: The GT500 has an LRA and a huge displacement motor with a supercharger to make up for the fact it can't go around corners. Fact: The Laguna Seca Mustang does everything possible to make itself go around corners with an LRA.

  • @JaySee5 btw british car reviewers are biased in any way they want to be, if they are porsche fanboys, ferrari fanboys, ect. just because i am american does not mean i am biased towards all cars not american. I dislike many american cars. For example generally autocar is extremely biased towards german cars and dislikes almost all if not all american cars. Once again fifth gear is the only somewhat non biased british reviewer. This is off topic anyway.

  • @JaySee5 Try laguna seca, the boss even beat out an audi r8 (all recorded by motortrend) sorry, but he's right, you'll just have to live with knowing that the m3 is just a tiny bit faster than a car that cost about 30,000 dollars less on the track (the mustang gt) and gets killed by a car that cost 28-25 thousand dollars less than the m3. Euro cars are great, sure, but american engineering is starting to edge them out (by a lot).

  • @man36021 A very straight track. Boohoo. I don't really care about the M3. I would want a proper sports car. There is no engineering in a Mustang GT, just a lot of horsepower from a big engine. If I want an American car with engineering, I would look at SSC and not any of the garbage from the big 3. Besides, all of Ford's engineering comes from its British division.

  • @JaySee5 Very straight track my ass, there are a ton of curves in that thing. Anyways, I take it you're a nothing but an upset fanboy, because all of ford's engineering happens at the ford motor company plant in dearborn michigan, none in britan (hell, ford sold all thier british divisions to an Indian car company anyway). Know your facts retard because you're obviously clueless. Come back when you learn a little something.

  • @man36021 Sorry if you have a straight ass like Laguna Seca. Try again when you get your facts straight like you're ass. Laguna Seca has 11 turns and 3 straights. Only 4 of the turns are over 90 degrees.

  • @JaySee5 Are you stupid or something? You complain that there aren't enough turns at laguna seca, and then you tell me that it actually has more turns, than straights. Most automotive companies go to tracks such as laguna seca to prove that thier car is track worthy, and apparently bmw failed at that. The race between the boss, and the bmw wasn't even close. The audi r8 was close to the boss. but hey, it still lost, and the r8 is supposedly an 11 second car. So much for your unbacked logic.

  • @man36021 No, you fail to understand what is logic and how to form a logical debate. You also fail to realize that any loop track with a single opposite turn will have more turns than straights. Automotive companies pick which track will bring the best result for their cars. This is why all races in a series aren't done on a single track. I have no unbacked logic as I'm not making a logical debate. To form one you need to have a common foundation. This is an argument of opinion. Learn logic.

  • @JaySee5 so you're now complaining about leguna seca not having enough turns, "over 90 degrees". You have discredited yourself, you have know knowledge of anything about cars. Laguna seca is one of the most challenging tracks on the planet, a legend in fact. Also showing your stupidity, a LRA puts power down much better than a IRS and when the pavement is smooth and somewhat even performs at the same level as a IRS suspension, especially the well worked out mustang LRA.

  • @n9athan You can't say I'm discredited without pointing out the flaw. You're in no position to judge and pretend to be an expert on cars or the Mustang when you don't even know about the Laguna Seca model. The reason the LRA is lesser than independent is because roads AND EVEN TRACKS aren't smooth. BTW, great argument pointing out how a street car needs smooth pavement for optimal performance. You're a failure.

  • @JaySee5 Having an IRS won't enhance comfort ( stiffened suspension) and it won't increase driver skill either. Yes, I agree tracks aren't smooth, but even then you cannot liken the two together. The condition public roads sit at are miles apart from private tracks and cannot be compared. I think we should all take a glass of reality and remember we aren't rich, and will most likely race at one track.. It's built cheap and if you want to race it, you are welcomed to modify it to a proper car.

  • @JaySee5 Not to really argue, but why do you need a "proper" sports car? It seems that is the usual reply in negativity of the mustang. Only issue with that is, what exactly are you planning on doing to the car? Cause i can tell you right now, if you are serious about a proper racing car, YOU will not be satisfied with what comes from the factory.

  • @JaySee5 /watch?v=BxEhnugwzCc&feature=feedrec_grec_index on laguna seca the standard boss beat a m3 and r8, and don't bring up that gt500, that is the 2010 model before it got a aluminum block and 10hp more.

  • @n9athan Ah, figures you're using an extremely straight track for comparative times.

  • I dont care about 650hp more than I care about handling characteristics. I dont want to end up smashing a 650hp into a tree.

  • @MrOmarr1991 then go get yourself a lotus elise for the same price

  • @carfan2k2

I still think its a great car for the price range.

  • @MrOmarr1991 the new mustang handles really good now compared to past mustangs it can hang with the new m3 on a road course

  • @MrOmarr1991 go fuck a camel mohammad !

  • Love Ford

  • You put on a suit just to look fancy at an auto show? Get some slacks that are the proper length buddy. 0:56

  • @vothry lmao.... that works with jeans, but not with slacks, huh? LOL

  • @asdfgoogle Of course it's not ok. It says you haven't made it out of adolescents or you don't know how to properly fit yourself. If he's going to wear a suit it might as well fit correctly.

  • @vothry Yeah, I know. I was asking the question rhetorically. You undoubtedly are correct though.

  • @vothry u are clearly a douche bag. i mean why were you watching him rather than the car. and who are you to talk about someones suit when you probley dont even own one.

  • @michaeltroke So you're assuming I didn't watch the video because I noticed his slacks were too long at the end of the video? And you're assuming I don't own any suits based on your intuition? Good luck progressing through life. You'll need it.

  • @vothry i have noticed no good comments about the car only a negative comment on someomes looks. btw its more comfortable with longer slacks when you sit down.

  • @michaeltroke That means the slacks are too tight in the crotch region, not that the pants need more length to compensate.

  • i heard that 650hp shelby is going to be the most powerful v8 production car ever.

  • @psychoclown420 The Koenigsegg CCX has a 4.7 L twin supercharged V8 with 806 bhp which is pretty powerful considering it's only a 4.7 L....I think all they did to the GT500's engine is bore the cylinders a little bigger and added a new supercharger. All in all though the GT500 is still flippin' awesome!

  • @psychoclown420 It could use AWD to put that much power down.

  • @psychoclown420 Till someone makes a more powerful v8 to stick in their car.

  • @psychoclown420 one word... koenigsegg

  • @bmancodgta4 I think he meant " most power{American} V8 production car...

  • @bmancodgta4 Looks like shit !

  • @weedmastersr I didnt say anything about looks, or if I even like the car... just saying its more powerful V8 than mustang

  • @bmancodgta4 that's true !

  • @psychoclown420 If you turbo/super charge your v8 it can be more powerfull than this supercharged v8

  • @starksy17 No, it's not. The Agera is powered by a Koenigsegg-built engine. The engine is based off of the 4.6L Modular architecture, though. But it doesn't at all relate to the 4.6L Modular other than the architecture.

  • @Elmo187 My source is MotorTrend. I wouldnt have said that if i didn't have a reliable source.

  • @starksy17 Your source is not MT, because even MT would agree with me on it NOT having a Ford engine.

  • @Elmo187 ''Koenigsegg deserves more credit than he's received for the innovations on this car. The drivetrain is the lightest and most compact in this class, starting out as a bespoke 5.0-liter V-8 casting, the same one in fact in the 2011 Mustang we've been hearing about so much, and then built from the ground up in Sweden.''

    -Motor Trend

  • @starksy17 "The Agera is powered by an in-house developed 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which produces 940 hp at 6900 rpm and 1100 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm." - Wikipedia

Also, the engine measures out in 305c.i. rather than 302c.i.

You should already know by now, that magazines sometimes get things wrong. They are just automatically assuming that just because it's a 5.0L V8 and Koenigsegg has used Ford engines in the past, that this is actually a Ford 5.0.

  • @Elmo187 alright, thanks for clearing that up :)

  • @psychoclown420 Well you heard it wrong. Its Koenigsegg.

  • @psychoclown420 hmm that can't be right, koenigseggs produce more...

  • @yomammaspoodle We're talking MASS produced bro. Come, on you know this is a cool engine.

  • @yomammaspoodle Koenigsegg isn't a V8.

  • @ReflexEight yes it is.

  • @ReflexEight The current Koenigsegg Agera is powered by a 4.7L twin supercharged V8.

  • @Elmo187 so what does it stand for Mr. mustang expert? and what about the GT350?

  • @ThisVidSuxAss It represents the trim level of the Mustang. Also, the early GT350s only had 306hp. The new one produces 550hp.

  • @psychoclown420 wrong does koenigsegg CCXR mean anything to you

  • @psychoclown420 i think some koenigseggs had v8 and hey got 800+ hp

  • @psychoclown420 No, I think that the most powerful v8 production car is the CORVETTE ZR1 with 680 hp.

  • @EduardoZancanaro The ZR1 has 638 hp.

  • @MoreGrievances yes... sorry i was wrong! Thanks for notifying me!

  • @MoreGrievances I like chevy... but chevy messed up by releasing the ZL1 with less Hp since its the shelbys direct competition... both "pony" cars...

  • Comment removed

  • @psychoclown420 why don't you go try to learn a fuck... i dont know what that means either, but you're still wrong
