@4EVAVIVALARAZA I don't think they are "martial arts experts". XMA are just tricks that a gymnastic could learn in short time. Seeing their movements, i think they have never played real Martial Arts. For example, their punches are not wrong just in the balance, but even in the preparation stance.

I'm surprised Simon said what he did. I thought there were too many timing mistakes to rate that act high. Don't get me wrong, I think they are great and the choreography on this was nice, but the blond guy was late with a number of his moves and they didn't sync up enough.

You're right about the timing errors. I doubt that it affected the entertainment value much, but they didn't make the top 3. However, 6 other acts didn't, either, including Kate & Gin, the Cheeky Monkeys, etc. Their BGT appearances seem to have borne fruit, though, as they're doing shows all over the UK. Not too bad for a 21yo & 19yo.

I replied to a comment, but I feel compelled to make a comment of my own.

I understand WHY they didn't win, but it isn't for lack of talent or their performance level. What they did and can do is utterly phenomenal. It is NOT easy. My MA is judo, and I have performed complicated kata's with another person, and you have to practice constantly. To do what they did? The strength, flexibility and raw TALENT needed is impossible to quantify. That's not even bringing in their good vibe charisma.

Well actually their built is VERY good... It's not about muscle, its about speed and flexibility. Speed is converted into POWER. Being able to bench press a shitload doesn't really mean a lot.. Perfect muscles for combat are flexible and fast, combined with endurance. I practice MA myself so I would know. You probably don't know how much hard work and PAIN it is to gain such incredible flexibility.

This is so true I cannot second it enough. As someone who has competed in judo at the state level, I know this on a very personal level. Before I did judo, I was a shot putter, and I had to retrain my entire idea of how my body moved and reacted to things. The one thing that DIDN'T change is knowing your center of balance. Judo isn't a showy martial art...it literally translates to the "gentle" or "easy" way, and it's premise is using the other person's weight, force, strength and balance against them. The kind of martial arts Strike does is MUCH more widely known, because it IS showy, but it IS still a very strict discipline to get to the level they are at and show in their act.

The sheer amount of time and energy put into getting this good? I cannot even fathom it.
