I highly do not consider curlers atheletes even though they probably practice.
But Sliding a block down some ice onto a circle and sweeping the ice away is in no way a sport even though its in the olympics.

two things.
a) curling has been around for so long, it's a wonder people still compete in it.
b) it takes AMAAAAZING skill to be able to line up some of the shots they do . it's not just hucking rocks down the ice it's manipulating a heavy object, and playing with physics and takes EXTREME skill

Real sports = hockey, basketball and football. Baseball, sort of since they atleast make tons of money if they're really good at it.
Racing down a hill on a plank against 3 other people is not a sport until there's a real bonafide racing league for it. F1 racing is more of a sport than this is.

I play baseball and basketball and with all due respect you are a fricken retard. Sure baseball takes a ton of hand-eye coordination but snowboarding is a lot harder. You have obviously never ridden a snowboard and even if you have you probably haven't gone half the speed she was doing. It is a lot more than riding down a hill on a plank. they're goin 30 + mph on rock hard ice. So grow some balls and try snowboarding.

Wrong, but thanks for coming out. I live near the Rocky Mountains in Canada. I've been skiing since the age of 5. I tried snowboarding and hated it. I did it twice just to see if I was wrong the first time, and still hated it.

Good one. Since when did it be a requirement that you had to do drugs to be "cool"? I can remember when snowboarding got popular I always said it would never be a real sport and the people who do it would never be athletes since all of them smoke cigarettes or weed on the chairlift up. Real athletes don't smoke. Simple as that. Ask Mario Lemieux how many cigarettes he's had in his life. It's probably enough to count on 1 hand.

How is skiing more of a sport than snowboarding? They are in all essence the same thing. The only real difference is that there are two skis compared to the one oversized "ski" in snowboarding, and facing forward. your argument is flawed and I can't believe you don't realize that.

Depends on your definition of 'best'. If you consider the best sports to be the ones that are the most popular, then it would be baseball and football in America since they draw the most people and pay the athletes the most money. In terms of true entertainment, I would argue that ice hockey is possibly the best sport since it's fast, exciting and violent at times.
However, if you base it on your own ability to compete, then anyone has a "best" sport.
