Having fun on a ninja 250 is just as retarded as spending 13k on a new zx6 and not taking it to the track. The only real time you get your moneys worth on a zx6 is on the highway or on open road. ON the 250 you get a lot of bang for your buck. Riding a 250 is not gay likewise owing a zx6 is not retarded. You can have a lot of fun ona 250
@freespadersuggs I meant "being gay on a ninja 250"..... in the first paragraph, not having fun. Also, sometimes owning a ninja 500 or 650r gets plain boring. And a lot of having a motorcycle is to have fun when riding. If you want something purely for commuting, especially in the city , then get a scooter.
@JoJoJo151990 The power band is at 6.5-9k. If you rode this and feel the acceleration is too slow for a beginner rider, most likely you were shifting out of first too soon.
@JoJoJo151990 The power band is at 6.5-9k. If you rode this and feel the acceleration is too slow for a beginner rider, most likely you were shifting out of first too soon.
My first bike was a 86 Honda Shadow VT 700, then got a Harley Sportster 1000cc (86), then rode my friends 08 ninja 250. Now I have a 07 Ninja 250 and ride it everywhere. What I like most about the 250 is after swapping out a sprocket i get 80 mpg and cruise the country practically free! I've been riding for 25 years.
@bobbyguns100 lol funny at that, but their good bike for very beginners right? so no hate is needed, but yes i do hate people that think a 250r is the best bike in the world, as long as people are carefull if they get a 650, 600, then i think they should be fine with that as long as they had previous motor skill to provide
You have an awesome accent! I'm looking at getting a bike this spring (beginner) and I am now moe inclined to get a 250 :). Very good gas milage, cost of the bike cheap over-all and easy to learn on from what I hear.
Love the video. Only problem I have is you saying because its a 250 you cant hurt yourself. That I have to disagree. You could hurt yourself if your on a 50cc. Reason why I mention this is because it might give younger people the wrong impression and think that they really cant get hurt. When in fact thats the opposite and could get hurt even worse then if you were on a 600cc+ because they think nothing can happen. They take bigger risks, get more reckless. other then that man, love the video.
Just had a bizarre thought... What if you get a 250cc bike and get used to winding out the throttle on corners and on the straights. Then you move up to a bigger bike. You carry over that knowledge of "I can full throttle this turn" but forget or just not used to the power your new bike has and something bad happens? Just a thought thats all. I started on a CBR600 and still on it its perfect for me. Never down talk the 250cc owners at the end of the day we're all riders.
Blinky I'm getting my 2012 ninja in two weeks and since I found your vids on YouTube and subscribed I have found the wait even harder. Thanks a lot. But seriously I do enjoy them. keep them coming

you sound like a fucking women, dude. and your bike suck's because it's 250!!!!

@GenericUth i second that, but im looking for a 90' cbr, man 20,000 rpm sounds so freaking awesome. Wonder why they stopped making them, liabilities probably, stupid government.
Well he's partly correct. I've driven a CBR 1000 RR on the road and I didn't get higher then 3rd gear on public roads when following the law. Certainly is a very good beginner bike.
I would sooo get killed if i went there,,, The whole time i was watching, I was trying to steer myself to the other lane.. lol... Its odd seeing how diff' countries use the oposite side.
@cryteeek you act as if that makes you more badass. unfortunately (or fortunately for some of us), that's something money can't buy. either way, be careful out there and don't ride for the wrong reasons, or you could find yourself in some serious life threatening trouble.
Just watched the video for the MC_D250RTC Scooter man i can't beleave how mutch they sound! you cant tell these two bikes apart and the thing is there made as cheep to"!"
I wish the Japs had marketed the older inline 4 250's in the US. It's near impossible to find them in the US. I would love to have a 1988CBR 250. Or possibly a later model Honda Hornet 250.
you just made me miss my old CBR with that camera angle... I ride a cruiser now, which is very enjoyable, but I would LOVE to get on a sport bike and just GO! for a day. Maybe I'll save some money and pick up a Buell to go with the Harley one day..... maybe.
You sound like a nice guy and all, but your impression that because its a 250 means that its "easy" is wrong. You missed a car emerging from a left hand gate, accelerating past him... if he hadnt seen you, you'd be toast. Then you accelerated past a parked truck past a driveway, hidden kids, what if?? No capacity of bike is automatically safe, a 30mph scooter can kill you. You sound like a nice bloke, but seriously, have a think about it.
100km/h on a 250cc is the same as 100km/h on a 1000cc.
@vtrmcs i know exactly how he feel's and to be honest i think it's just because those thing's are so fucking lite that you can just throw it around the road with no fallback... i think that's were his getting with this... you were right about 100ks on a 250 is the same as a 100ks on a 1000cc. But there is still a HUGE difference... i actually agree with both of you... OP is right saying it's a very very easy bike to ride, as apposed to say a 1000cc, and your right saying it's still dangerous.
@vtrmcs One it is give way to your Right in Australia :3 And two Kids are trained that they aren't allowed to J-Walk (They still do hell I do it) but they are also taught that they;re not to come out on the road without an supervisor or if supervisor has waved them on they aren't alot to be within something like 20metres of a parked car and there are tons of adverts on TV they say the same thing xD Different ruling system compared to the USA etc :p
@vtrmcs But you're right all bikes are dangerous, no matter how "Small or Big" they're the only difference is that the 250 is smaller with top end and acceleration in which in most cases can save our lives and that the 250s can sometimes have better handling than 1000s due to the smaller tires you can chuck on a 250 xD They're plenty of things in life that are wrong but you don't need to assume your countries laws are the same as ours :p
@vtrmcs agreed, lots of douchbags cant drive or ride. Im getting a 1000 for the acceleration and power, compaired to my 250 it will be more powerfull, but i ride safly checking corners and only speeding on clear stretches of wide open roads.... still a dangerouds kid i am, but not stupid
@vtrmcs This guy needs to f ckn slow down. Going that speed in area with kids is for f ckin insane people ....Not freeecckin fun when you kill a kid or yourself..
So true, always you can have more fun with smaller engines in the suburbs. I commute with my 250 and it's awesome fun. I see people commuting with 1000cc around the suburbs and I can't help but think "...what's the point in that?"
agreed bikes are about fun ive rode 600s 400s and yet i have more fun on my 125 becaues its so light :) no 1 shud ever buy a bike just based on engine size
this guys funny as hell hahah. hey blinky if you could give some advice, i really want to get a motorcycle in the next couple months. it being my first bike, im really considering a 2008-2011 ninja 250 or 250r. ill be cruising around town, some twisty back roads, and highways too. whats your thoughts?
Only a 250? Joey Dunlop, king of the Irish road racing scene, master of motorcycle riding on big scary machines, killed on a 125cc bike in estonia, just keep it safe dude!! The 250 ninja's are cool bikes, wish you the best of luck with it!
Dude, you're saying "it's just a 250" so I can't hurt myself. I have seen many guys on L plates get completely fucked up on 250s because they had your attitude. 2 weeks after they get their 250 and slap L plates on it, they're riding into the back of a car at 100mph. You need to respect all bikes regardless of the size if the engine. A 250 will do anywhere from 80 to 130mph depending on whether it's a 2 stroke 4 stroke number of cylinders etc.
thats exactly why I hate small cc bikes like 250 cos u have to ride the with full throttle and rpms at all times. thats my opinion I mean :D I prefer 1000 cc cos I can ride as fast as 250 but only with like 3000 rpm wich is very smooth and quiet + if I need I can go 300 kmh in less than 20 seconds if needed so yeah if u own a 1000 u dont need to drive full throttle, actually I drive like 1/8 throttle nearly all times when I drive legally :D
@Scootertuner1000 and only a scooter kid will say that all r the same cos, I f u ever have riden 1000 and then lets say 50 cc tow stroke and if u honestly tell me that u cant see no differens, then u must be very inexperienced with bike, and I hope u grow up until ur next comment. Thanks!
@roossi I have been riding bikes of all sizes for over 30 years. I have had roughly 20 bikes in total ranging from a Honda C 50 to a Honda CBX1000. Tell me you don't know people who slapped L plates on a 250 and then had an accident,, because they didn't respect it. BTW I am not American, I live in America. Find me an American who knows what the hell L or P plates are. I am not seeing I see no difference, I am saying that you have to respect a bike no matter it's engine size.
@roossi I have more experience in my little finger than you have in your whole body. Experience tells me that all bikes need to be respected, no matter the size of the engine. I am not saying there is no difference, I am saying a 50cc scooter will kill you if you don't respect it, just as a GSXR1000 will kill you if you don't respect it. If you don't think that's true then you shouldn't be riding a bike.
@Scootertuner1000 well sry my english, Im from finland I live in finland and I use english only on u tube and when Im travelling, anyway thats what I said I personally dont like riding 250 cc because the reasons I said. I didnt say that I dont respect some bikes like others (except restricted 50cc 4 stroke scooters) ok and u r putting comment so much that I cant see that wich order they came. and If u have german licence its valid in all the EU. also my finnish license is valid in US after small
@Scootertuner1000 yeah and just to say u could have even looked my channel before posting anything like I did see yours. Cos u would have seen that I happen to own 3 bikes wich r 50cc gilera 750 kawasaki and 1000 gsxr + I have 125 cc scooter so I think I know what I like or not when I say I prefer (note. I prefer) 1000 . but yeah obviously u r brainless stereotypical american, so yeah its not ur fault that ur government made u stupid :D
@roossi Not American arsehole. If you had taken the time to look at my channel you would have heard that. I have been riding more than 30 years have had somewhere around 20 bikes and have unlimited capacity motorcycle licenses for England, Germany and North Carolina USA. I have owned and ridden anything from Honda c50 to Honda CBX1000 and even a few home built bikes. If anyone here is stupid it is you arsehole.
@Scootertuner1000 test so I dont see the point with that license thing? ok ok. ur not american thats good and I see u undertand why :D I checked it yes but didnt watch the vids. and Again I dont understand why u r so angry if I dont like so much about 250 than some one else Its just my opinion. I mean I like all the bikes, but its just I prefer to ride line 4 1000 sportbike for several reasons thats it. I like it but I still respect my other bikes as well even I dont ride them that much.
@roossi You have graduated licensing in Finland, don't you? You start with smaller bikes and work your way up or not? You can't jump straight onto a Busa or even a 250 at 16 years old, you start with 45kmh 50cc restricted mopeds. I wasn't angry at first, I just don't like capacity snobs. Saying "thats exactly why I hate small cc bikes like 250 " says the opposite to what you're saying now. I like all motorised vehicles with 2 wheels. I'm not angry, just English. We call a spade a spade.
@Scootertuner1000 yes. Yes of course I started with moped and every one sholud do so big bikes r dangerous. but to be honest restricted r quite dangerous in theyre own way, but its different thing. And just to say Im no snob or even rich I have worked a lot to have my bikes. And still I cant change my opinion about the shaking and keeping revs high in small bike if u need to go like 120 kmh75mph it feels quite shaky and tickles ur hands, and yes so does the 50 cc2stroke but I like them as well
@roossi Good I am glad we agree one something. Calling you capacity snob doesn't have anything to do with how much money you have, it is a term used when riders of big bikes look down their noses at the riders of small bikes. They are snobbish about the capacity of the bikes.. Your initial comment was very provocative and not something I would expetc from someone who loves bikes just because they are bikes. I love anything with two wheels and an engine, regardless of how fast it is.
the problem with big engines in bikes is that, in a 600 for example, you'll be doing more than 60mph already in 1st gear, you hardly ever get the chance to run through all gears while reving it to the max
and for me, changing gears em hearing the engine rev higher and higher is the most important sensation!
@Darkzey every single rider in motogp today started out on smaller than 250...not a single one started on a liter bike, and i doubt that any ride them on their days off. Go to any track, the guys on the smaller bikes really push them and post great times. Once they feel a need for more power, they move to a bigger bike, and it's just a bonus for them. Technique is down already. It puts them at a huge advantage to the guys that start out on the biggest bike they can afford.
Hehe i want a GSX-R1000 :)

Well he's partly correct. I've driven a CBR 1000 RR on the road and I didn't get higher then 3rd gear on public roads when following the law. Certainly is a very good beginner bike.

I wish the Japs had marketed the older inline 4 250's in the US. It's near impossible to find them in the US. I would love to have a 1988CBR 250. Or possibly a later model Honda Hornet 250.

you just made me miss my old CBR with that camera angle... I ride a cruiser now, which is very enjoyable, but I would LOVE to get on a sport bike and just GO! for a day. Maybe I'll save some money and pick up a Buell to go with the Harley one day..... maybe.
lilrara11804 5 months ago
You sound like a nice guy and all, but your impression that because its a 250 means that its "easy" is wrong. You missed a car emerging from a left hand gate, accelerating past him... if he hadnt seen you, you'd be toast. Then you accelerated past a parked truck past a driveway, hidden kids, what if?? No capacity of bike is automatically safe, a 30mph scooter can kill you. You sound like a nice bloke, but seriously, have a think about it.
100km/h on a 250cc is the same as 100km/h on a 1000cc.
vtrmcs 5 months ago 19
@vtrmcs i know exactly how he feel's and to be honest i think it's just because those thing's are so fucking lite that you can just throw it around the road with no fallback... i think that's were his getting with this... you were right about 100ks on a 250 is the same as a 100ks on a 1000cc. But there is still a HUGE difference... i actually agree with both of you... OP is right saying it's a very very easy bike to ride, as apposed to say a 1000cc, and your right saying it's still dangerous.
XxMattxX300 2 months ago 15
@XxMattxX300 i feel the same ways on my 95 civic

@vtrmcs One it is give way to your Right in Australia :3 And two Kids are trained that they aren't allowed to J-Walk (They still do hell I do it) but they are also taught that they;re not to come out on the road without an supervisor or if supervisor has waved them on they aren't alot to be within something like 20metres of a parked car and there are tons of adverts on TV they say the same thing xD Different ruling system compared to the USA etc :p
zGamingChannel 2 months ago
@vtrmcs But you're right all bikes are dangerous, no matter how "Small or Big" they're the only difference is that the 250 is smaller with top end and acceleration in which in most cases can save our lives and that the 250s can sometimes have better handling than 1000s due to the smaller tires you can chuck on a 250 xD They're plenty of things in life that are wrong but you don't need to assume your countries laws are the same as ours :p
zGamingChannel 2 months ago
@vtrmcs agreed, lots of douchbags cant drive or ride. Im getting a 1000 for the acceleration and power, compaired to my 250 it will be more powerfull, but i ride safly checking corners and only speeding on clear stretches of wide open roads.... still a dangerouds kid i am, but not stupid
LordAugastus 2 months ago
@vtrmcs Ehhhh, not really. We all know force = mass x accleration, so by that principle it's not the same.

So true, always you can have more fun with smaller engines in the suburbs. I commute with my 250 and it's awesome fun. I see people commuting with 1000cc around the suburbs and I can't help but think "...what's the point in that?"

A 250 will do anywhere from 80 to 130mph depending on whether it's a 2 stroke 4 stroke number of cylinders etc.

xBMXxRIDERx 5 months ago
thats exactly why I hate small cc bikes like 250 cos u have to ride the with full throttle and rpms at all times. thats my opinion I mean :D I prefer 1000 cc cos I can ride as fast as 250 but only with like 3000 rpm wich is very smooth and quiet + if I need I can go 300 kmh in less than 20 seconds if needed so yeah if u own a 1000 u dont need to drive full throttle, actually I drive like 1/8 throttle nearly all times when I drive legally :D
roossi 5 months ago
@roossi Blah blah blah blah. All bikes are good from 50cc to 2000cc. Only an asshole talks like you.
Scootertuner1000 5 months ago
@Scootertuner1000 and only a scooter kid will say that all r the same cos, I f u ever have riden 1000 and then lets say 50 cc tow stroke and if u honestly tell me that u cant see no differens, then u must be very inexperienced with bike, and I hope u grow up until ur next comment. Thanks!
roossi 5 months ago
@roossi I have been riding bikes of all sizes for over 30 years. I have had roughly 20 bikes in total ranging from a Honda C 50 to a Honda CBX1000. Tell me you don't know people who slapped L plates on a 250 and then had an accident,, because they didn't respect it. BTW I am not American, I live in America. Find me an American who knows what the hell L or P plates are. I am not seeing I see no difference, I am saying that you have to respect a bike no matter it's engine size.
Scootertuner1000 5 months ago
@roossi I have more experience in my little finger than you have in your whole body. Experience tells me that all bikes need to be respected, no matter the size of the engine. I am not saying there is no difference, I am saying a 50cc scooter will kill you if you don't respect it, just as a GSXR1000 will kill you if you don't respect it. If you don't think that's true then you shouldn't be riding a bike.
Scootertuner1000 5 months ago
@roossi NO one said there's no difference between the bikes you retard.
Scootertuner1000 5 months ago
@Scootertuner1000 well sry my english, Im from finland I live in finland and I use english only on u tube and when Im travelling, anyway thats what I said I personally dont like riding 250 cc because the reasons I said. I didnt say that I dont respect some bikes like others (except restricted 50cc 4 stroke scooters) ok and u r putting comment so much that I cant see that wich order they came. and If u have german licence its valid in all the EU. also my finnish license is valid in US after small
roossi 5 months ago
@Scootertuner1000 yeah and just to say u could have even looked my channel before posting anything like I did see yours. Cos u would have seen that I happen to own 3 bikes wich r 50cc gilera 750 kawasaki and 1000 gsxr + I have 125 cc scooter so I think I know what I like or not when I say I prefer (note. I prefer) 1000 . but yeah obviously u r brainless stereotypical american, so yeah its not ur fault that ur government made u stupid :D
roossi 5 months ago
@roossi Not American arsehole. If you had taken the time to look at my channel you would have heard that. I have been riding more than 30 years have had somewhere around 20 bikes and have unlimited capacity motorcycle licenses for England, Germany and North Carolina USA. I have owned and ridden anything from Honda c50 to Honda CBX1000 and even a few home built bikes. If anyone here is stupid it is you arsehole.
Scootertuner1000 5 months ago
@Scootertuner1000 test so I dont see the point with that license thing? ok ok. ur not american thats good and I see u undertand why :D I checked it yes but didnt watch the vids. and Again I dont understand why u r so angry if I dont like so much about 250 than some one else Its just my opinion. I mean I like all the bikes, but its just I prefer to ride line 4 1000 sportbike for several reasons thats it. I like it but I still respect my other bikes as well even I dont ride them that much.
roossi 5 months ago
@roossi You have graduated licensing in Finland, don't you? You start with smaller bikes and work your way up or not? You can't jump straight onto a Busa or even a 250 at 16 years old, you start with 45kmh 50cc restricted mopeds. I wasn't angry at first, I just don't like capacity snobs. Saying "thats exactly why I hate small cc bikes like 250 " says the opposite to what you're saying now. I like all motorised vehicles with 2 wheels. I'm not angry, just English. We call a spade a spade.
Scootertuner1000 5 months ago
@Scootertuner1000 yes. Yes of course I started with moped and every one sholud do so big bikes r dangerous. but to be honest restricted r quite dangerous in theyre own way, but its different thing. And just to say Im no snob or even rich I have worked a lot to have my bikes. And still I cant change my opinion about the shaking and keeping revs high in small bike if u need to go like 120 kmh75mph it feels quite shaky and tickles ur hands, and yes so does the 50 cc2stroke but I like them as well
roossi 5 months ago
@roossi Good I am glad we agree one something. Calling you capacity snob doesn't have anything to do with how much money you have, it is a term used when riders of big bikes look down their noses at the riders of small bikes. They are snobbish about the capacity of the bikes.. Your initial comment was very provocative and not something I would expetc from someone who loves bikes just because they are bikes. I love anything with two wheels and an engine, regardless of how fast it is.

the problem with big engines in bikes is that, in a 600 for example, you'll be doing more than 60mph already in 1st gear, you hardly ever get the chance to run through all gears while reving it to the max
and for me, changing gears em hearing the engine rev higher and higher is the most important sensation!
vdFritz 5 months ago
Dude I have a 50. And I rag it anywhere-anytime-all the time. And sometime the bike do shit me up.
FSXICF 5 months ago
@Darkzey every single rider in motogp today started out on smaller than 250...not a single one started on a liter bike, and i doubt that any ride them on their days off. Go to any track, the guys on the smaller bikes really push them and post great times. Once they feel a need for more power, they move to a bigger bike, and it's just a bonus for them. Technique is down already. It puts them at a huge advantage to the guys that start out on the biggest bike they can afford.
