I am a white canadian that has nothing against muslims and dislike the hate that follows but I think the reason sometimes muslims are treated differently has to do with seeing muslims as very solumn people, and not feeling like you can relate to them. I subbed to this channel because I love what you guys are doing, and help educate me more about muslims.
@j1a2r34- by quaker, you mean amish. i know a lot of quakers, and none of them wear unique self identifying clothing. for the rest of your comment, please take your misnomers elsewhere.
Quakers wear unique, self identifying clothes and are recognizable for what they are just as hijab and turban wearing Muslims, but Quakers are historically a peaceful group and don't indoctrinate their youth to commit mass murder. A reasonable person who isn't a believer in mythology (Christian or otherwise) will be cautious when dealing with white, tattooed skin heads as well as those who dress like Islamic terrorists. Don't think of it as a personal affront... it's just common sense.
i amazingly i dont face this issue of predudice, until people realise im a non-muslim hijab wearer. they think im a bit odd for it and just dont understand the securety it brings.
Actually, AFrican Americans are more open to Islam compared to whites. I have recieved better treatment from blacks compared to whites. i get the strange looks and even people laughing at me, but I must be strong and understand that people only hate muslims because CNN and FOX tell them to.
@crises9000 it has not yet proved that it was been done by muslims...and by the way its an open truth that usa and their partners are killing hundreds of innocent people every day in afghanistan, iraqpakistan and palestine so mind yr words.
@BestEverInDaWorld866 People are against islam (the sick cult, not the people) because it is a theocracy that demands subservience of its people and preaches the inferiority of all others. would you dare to become an apostate? us kuffars who will not bow to a silly book written by a schizophrenic paedophile 1400 years ago.
As Dr. Campbell told me one day, that way of treatment are shifted form African American to Arab or Muslim people. I asked him so why African American don't understand our felling he told me that will take time and it is our responsibility to change that as the African American did before.
but on the other hand, it may not be 'your' responsibility to change the way that people did... based on our discussion with Dr. C the other day. he said that it really takes people outside of the group to make the efforts to change the overall culture. ex: african americans could do a lot of the social change themselves but it never would have been possible without a lot of support from the white community. lets talk about this...
Welcome to our world Adrienne :) we face that every day and we adjust for that kind of treatment. You know what is the problem? African American face that treatment long time and they supposed to understand our feeling about such thing.
