PLZ HELP i think i did everything right but when i try to restore it says iphone could not restore because firmware is not compatible i tryd messing with it all da but i cant figure it out?

Hi, when i try to restore using this firmware it does not get by the preparing iphone for restore stage, sits for 10mins and then i get an error message.

Any ideas?

Hi, I have managed to get the software installed on my iPhone 3G. I have then unlocked 3.1.2 with blackra1n. My phone now shows no bars of signal, 3G and 02-UK. It says every tme i switch it on, "waiting for activation, this may take a while".

Now what do i do?

@AdamH108TA go to settings and turn off 3G NETWORK

Hi, no matter what settings i change i cannot get a signal. I think it may be to do with my new carrier not supporting the iphone 3G as they need to activate it. I will by an 02-UK Sim (the only network that sells iphones) and see what happens.

i downloaded latest itune, when i did a clean restore with official fw, i'd be stuck at a page telling me to put in an official sim card that supports the carrier. but if i use a custom firmware, there would be an error from restoring it. what should i do?

do exactly what i did in the video shown above...1)use blackra1n while its showing "error from restoring it." 2) you still will be stuck on that page "telling you to put the official SIM in" after the blackra1n process is done . 3) now restore with Custom Firmwire while in Recovery Menu(shown in the video) - hope this helped
