A tip for a good speed run is that you dont bother with getting any of the items sept for health if needed. Don't waste time bashing things for them or in other words go out of your way to do it. This adds up a lot time right here doing these things. Also another thing is always go as far as you can until it stops you from going any further and kill all the badies right there and move on as quickly as possible.

My friend and I credit this game for getting us into producing electronic music. We used to record the sound test for this game onto cassette and then jam out as we drove around the city.

Also, these graphics and colors are just fucking NICE. Sega touted this as it's Street Fighter II killer...Not quite but it's apples and oranges, right?

wow dude your about as good as i am if not about the same. I should do a speed rund on normal and time myself on it. I wouldnt know how to record it though. But i did do a paly through on hardest like 2 days ago though i think the ammount of time it took me to do that ws prolly around an hour to and hour 15 mins or so im guessing. Ive been palying this game since it wass released. So about 15 years now ive never been able to be mania though.

Axel is the best one. Skate and Blaze are weak. Max is ok. But on the Mania Mode you need Axel for Victory. His Special Move(two times forward and punch) is the key for all Problems.

For now, try end sor2 on mania mode, 1 player, it's harder challenge ;)

Erm, just letting you guys know, that the "real" speed run on this game, is done by using "Max" on Mania difficulty, and it should take you about 30 minutes, without dying once, or getting hit over...

this is a not tool assisted speedrun.

If you could do it on mania on 30 minutes with max, please post it! I didn't it yet because it could spend much time on tool assistence.

But you can see my playing with max ending mania (one player not toolassisted). It takes 90 minutes...

About speedruns, see my ta sor3 speedrun with shiva, witch takes 40 minutes ;-)

at 00:51, you did the uppercut on the guy called "joseph".

did u notice how axel was sliding the opposite way? how did u do that?

It's really tricky to do, and usually it happens by accident. You know how, for the "Grand Upper" move, you have to press right-right-punch (or left-left-punch if you're facing the other way)? Well, press the opposite direction at the same time as punch and you can slide backwards -- eg right-right-(left+punch).
