Fascinating, this is actually a great rendition, especially since the synthetic voice do not have the register breaks of an adult soprano/ alto. So it preserves the ethereal quality of boy voices.
The problem of the Japanese program: it's somewhat hilarious how the Japanese skids around the German words.
I think the voices hear are still a tad to dark compared to the boys.
Check at sanfranphono the first 1950 recording of the duetto 1950 with the Leipzig St Thomas choir.
You have such a such a good taste thanks!!

"unheimlich" is it a compliment or thumbs down?

@teleostomi
It is a compliment. That thing is both fascinating and sinister, an ideal combination I think.

Thanks! It's like a word "wicked" which is used for both good and bad meanings.

@teleostomi Rather the latter, it means as much as "scary".

初音ミクって想像してたよりいいな。バッハの音楽の普遍性の魔力とも合わさってなんとも不思議な魅力がある。

すごいクール・・・不思議な魔力が聴く者をくぎづけにする。クラシックヴァージョンに負けないほどパワフル...日本語のような気もするけど良く聞き取れないのが残念。ドイツ語ではないでしょう?
Awsomely cool. Keeps you spellbound to the screen. So powerful that it beats the classical version. Amazing..

ドイツ語ですよ。このクリップの作者、腕がいいみたいで、わりと忠実にドイツ語を再現しています。他のクリップ、たとえば、youtube 上で、夜の女王のアリアをご覧になってください。ドイツ語の発音がめちゃ下手ですよ。

Wir eilen mit schwachen, doch emsigen Schritten,
O Jesu, o Meister, zu helfen zu dir.
Du suchest die Kranken und Irrenden treulich.
Ach höre, wie wir
Die Stimmen erheben, um Hülfe zu bitten!
Es sei uns dein gnädiges Antlitz erfreulich!

Just another step in technology from what Mr MOOG did to J S Bach on his Sythesizer in the nineteen sixties, But better I think.
