Homosexuality occurs just as naturally in nature as heterosexuality, but natural selection (which that idiot undoubtedly has not even a small understanding of) favors heterosexuality for procreation. Oh, here's another thought. Not everybody is gay, there's never going to BE a time when everyone is gay, and in fact there are just enough heterosexuals reproducing to potentially endure the destruction of our species due to overpopulation.

You are not exactley right about the natural selection part, that is where an animal with an advantage over another type of its species will slowly populate and the others will die out. Homosexualtiy cannot be passed on to a child.

Everything in our personality has at least something to do with our genes. Now, the degree to which our genes, environmental, and cultural factors all play a part is very much up for debate. But to say homosexuality has no basis in genetics? You need to take a basic college level biology class. Your ignorance is appalling.

See. Heres my problem. I don't see why you have to tell people you're gay like this. I'm straight and I don't need to tell people. I know gay guys that have never admitted to being gay, but its pretty obvious. The only reason I'm saying this is its a pretty intimate topic. @billyouknow not all gay people 'come out' but some do to people who don't know that they're gay. as a straight person you're in the majority as it's kind of assumed you're straight unless you say otherwise. for gay people who have faced discrimination or are afraid of facing discrimination telling people you're close to that you're gay is a big deal, unlike saying "I'm straight", because that's kind of expected.

Because theres really nothing to be said about it. Put it this way. If one of my friends was gay, I would much rather him casually tell me, rather than have this big secret build up thing. For example: Me and my buddy are at a bar. I say "hey check that girl out" he says "I'm gay" that to me is a lot more normal.
