Officially rated at 23 mpg city/31 mpg highway, but my car has averaged 28.2 mpg with 400 miles of mostly city driving, compared to 29 average mpg for a Honda Civic. So far, 2008 SX4's have been returned to the dealer for service less than the 2008 Civics - and have 100,000 mile warranty to boot. Suzuki is attempting an image make-over in the US, and the SX4 is a great start. A good car for the price.

No its not. This is all Suzuki. Same with the crossover. It replaces the Aerio (sp?) THe Verona and Forenza are Korean as well as the Reno. But those models I believe will go eventually and be replaced by Suzuki models that are all Suzuki. I think Suzuki broke ties with GM to my knowledge so hopefully we will see more Suzuki cars in the future and the new Swift! I can't wait!!!
actually, the new lancer base 2.0 makes 150, the hyundai 2.0 makes 138 hp, and the Hyundai Tiburon 2.7 V6 makes 172 hp, and the 2.5 Impreza base 4 cyl. produces 175 hp. The only 2.0 for that makes significantly more power is the s2000, and the civic Si at 197, but it only has 139 ft. pounds of torque. :p

plus the weak 2 liter engine. you would expect a 2 liter to at least make 170 hp not a weak 140. otherwise i think the car looks great.

Yea especially since the S2000 engine has 247 hp.... But the SX4 is an economy sedan. I have one and I like it. Beat my 1989 accord.

There's basically two versions of the SX4, the Sport (this one) and the Crossover. The Crossover is the AWD model.
