  • great what a man what a talent

  • Please read carefully, I DID NOT say Dickie Valentine was a teenager in the 50s, I NEVER said Dickie Valentine was a teenager in the 50s, I SAID THAT I was. I never referred to his age, only MINE.

I KNOW he was not a teenager in the 50s. His greatest joke was when he sang the song "A Teenager in Love". We all knew he wasn't a teenager, and he joined in the giggles that entailed.

  • Believe me, you cannot tell me anything about Dickie Valentine, I was his number one fan, and knew all about him. I said that I, not he, was a teenager in the 50's, in answer to the question by Tsagia, and the other comments I made were in regard to my life in the 50s

  • @1940maryrose If he was a teenager in the 50s then he would be 31 when he died, but he died 41 means he's 20+ in the 50s

  • I was a teenager in the 50s, but grew up in England. It was magical, we could leave home in the morning with a packet of sandwiches and ride our bikes all day without our parents wondering if we would get home safely. We had never encountered "Stranger Danger" We never locked our houses. Teenage pregnancies rarely happened. Men never swore in front of women, and women never swore. We could sing along to the tunes of the day, and the artists sang, not screeched! I would love those times back.

  • @1940maryrose No, he wasn't a teenager, he was 20+

  • Loved him when I was 15, still love him now I am 70

  • @1940maryrose God bless you!You were a teenager during the '50s in America? How was it back then? Was it so magical and nice like we see in the movies and on TV nowadays?

  • @1940maryrose hi mary rose hope u are keeping well and still tuning in i was listening to dickie and itbrought back lots of memories i was wondering if u knew how his family are faring and if his wives are still living would love to hear his kids are doing well and are happy it's so sad he died so young and never got to see his grandkids is there a fan club that would give us news of them bet u got a lot of pleasure from his songs he was truly a great man
