  • I have a Pioneer 1200y and an Xl 12 if you sit them side by side the only difference is the colour.

  • Nothing no better then the older Homelite Saws, Ez, XL12, 330, 360, etc. ... Love Em'.

  • Yes 16' bar

  • i have the same one, just got it going, to you have a 16" bar on it?

  • its amazing to see another one of these still out there all i own is homelite i recently saved on just like yours from the crusher at the scrap yard i hope to resotore it soon

  • I I WONDERING IF CAN HELP ME OUT MAN! IF HAVE THE SAW AND I MA TRYING TO FIX IT UP AND WHEN I GO TO START IS IT IS VERY VERY HARD TO PULL AND I DONT NO WHY I WAS WONDERING IF U COULD TELL ME

  • that thing looks like it came right out of a horror flick lol

  • Nice old chainsaw!

  • People are grabbing these old Homies to beat hell on ebay and the parts too. If Homelite had any sense they'd start making them again. They don't have to be as good as Husky or Stihl, they were plenty good enough for most of us and they could undercut the competition.

  • anybody know the difference between the super XL and the xl-12... They look like the same saw but different colors

  • @tribulation138 Super xl is 58cc and the xl-12 is 54cc. Both great saws:)

  • I have one just that, and it ran perfect. I also have two super xls

  • I have one JUST like that. Starts up on one pull and cuts great. Easy to work on too....

  • @Frebazak im 14 and i have a homelite super xl

  • I was strip cutting Spruce with a C9 Homelite, it was 1963, i was 15, i saw my father walking down the strip carrying something blue. It was a new XL12, he handed it to me, try this it was like a toy , 12 lb., the C9 was 24+ lb., this little saw was one tough saw.

  • One hell of a Saw. the just dont make them like that anymore. now all they are is cast aluminums plastic pieces of shit. I have that same exact saw just got it running again after sitting about ten years. Do you have any pointers or tips on adjusting the carb for better results at full throttle? any help appreciated Thanks.

  • @Doye2287 Seat the high and low setting by turning clockwise. Then back off 1 full turn on both h & l settings. Start, let warm up and adjust trottle till chain stops.(In front of manual thumb oil pump) Should run cherry! I love my xl-12!

  • that looks like my 1975 version.

  • how much does that weigh? it seems very light weight.

  • It weighs 12 lbs

  • @nflrush1 believe me they're heavy.

  • @thealed29 12 pounds is heavy? Start training with some weights. For a 54cc saw its pretty light even by todays standards

  • @4inches4u A Stihl MS 260 is near enough 50.2cc but it's only 4.6kg, 5.4kg without oil or petrol then you have to think about vibration, it feels heavy when you've been using it for a few minutes.

  • @thealed29 pussy

  • I have the same chainsaw just in red color.

XL automatic i dont know the year that it was build but I know that it's over 40 years old. Runs great

  • The local paper

  • really they are so hard to find around here. I actually just got my old wright saw goin again. you should check it out, i just put a video up of it. ill have a better video soon so you can actually see it ha.
