It also reflects the game's horror genre, since much of those movies are not exclusive to them. Even the "fast head" movement has been done before and after Jacob's Ladder and isn't copyrighted at all (would be dumb to).

This makes sense with the tone of Silent Hill. Rather take the radio and fight the monster, it becomes his glimpse into his own mind and it rather reflects the game's influences. The second time we see it, its being killed by P-head, and could better relate to its metaphor.

My idea is that the lying figure stays ambient, with radio. James comes to town seeing no one there, then finally sees a figure. He begins finding a blood trail and begins to wonder if the person is injured or not. He begins calling out for answers as he follows its trail to the said area and then he hears the radio playing static. He enters the area and then hears Mary's voice on the radio. He turns his attention to the radio and suddenly the lying figure lifts up. He backs out and runs away.

Good work, again of course, silent hill 2 has one of the best stories ever made, after finishing the game and play it again got us to realize that the deaths, including the dead near the tv (a homicide) it appears that the james killed someone in the past, and all of this means his nightmare.
