Well, theudeadisback, You're in serious need of help with camera control, compositing and scenery. Your animation is too short and you need an actual scenery. Sound effects would have shown off your editing skills too. I know what you were trying to accomplish with the camera movement in relation to a meteor crash, but it's all wrong. It's too off center and jerky. I couldn't even clearly see the crash effects. Try working more in the IPO curve editor.
@theundeadisback Youuuuuuuu slyful person. That is very sneaky of you. Okay well yes, 14 years old is not bad for that then. I'm not used to running into younger animators on youtube. Usually their all much older. Well then, good stuff!
Alright, what is the big secret on YouTube????!!!!! Dude, how in the hell do you have 36,000+ views on this???? I have all sorts and no where near as many views!! And I'm not just trying to be cute, I'm really asking you. How in the hell have you managed this????
@10chadjordan01 look at the date....I guess in 2007 there were not so much 3d animations on youtube and almost all of the 3d animation got many views ... sorry I can't answer from theundeadisback ( that's my old account ) because I don't remember the password and the notification still are sent to my email :)
@JustFlameBoy I did look at the date!!! LOL! Regardless, I've still seen a lot more animations now, that are really good and have over 2 million views. The thing is, I figured mine would have at least more than a couple hundred. I think the most mine has (and it's only one) has 360 views. This is not much at all. Oh well, thanks anyway.
@qnaman Very true, I love yafaray, but external rendering is a bitch. Professional compositing would give much better effects and would render in half the time that yafaray would. Besides, there's a lot more going on here than just quality of imagery.
the crash was good but really you should make a landscape and give the meteor a fire trail or something like that making it look realistic :) great work tho i know things like that and what i suggested takes time so gratz

Things:
- Is it a big asteroid? Is it hitting earth?
- landscape
- light, Also the crash needs to emit light too.
- Way too much camera jitter.
- Good particles BTW
- Longer movie

Give it less specularity, and a clouds texture as a tangent normal map.
