  • dude fix the audio... its really annoying..

  • Thanks for posting the video. No search on YouTube for how to use your video recorder...

  • Your video is bad it keeps breaking your conversation hard to understand what you are saying

  • I got the same tv and same problem. Which capacitor I have to get

  • Great video, I repair computers too and had someone ask if i could look at their TV. So after doing some research came across your video and it just verfied what i thought could be wrong with it. Next is for me to attempt the fix :D Lets hope it is that easy for me.

  • my friend gave me a 46 inch plasma i think. its phillips, and when you plug it in the green light goes on indicating that we have power, but then a red light blinks 7 times. and so i opened it up and i noticed the capacitors were bulging like in your video. and so if i replace them would that be the only problem? and my friends said the tv was working like 3 weeks ago.

  • glad i came across this video. my tv wasnt turning on anymore and it had the same issues like this. i took saw ur video and did the same to mine. It WORKS now thanks to you. My Tv is back on and working as New again. GREAT VIDEO

  • Great video, but I think the audio cuts out on your camera when you use the zoom function.

  • Where do you get the parts? What kind of store?

  • damn audio...

  • My wifes grandpa had a Phillips 42" that died on him. So he bought a new one and was going to throw out the old one, so we ended up keeping it to fix it. It's a different model than the one you're working on, and the PCB layout is different. I don't know where the power section is but I can see 2 different electrolytic capacitors that are fried, on different parts of the mainboard. I'm assuming if I just replace them the TV should work. Here's hoping.

  • Classic, I just finished your video and the end was pretty funny. How could you be white trash with a nice plasma? ...LOL Plasmaaaaaaa

  • Props bro. My TV Call out service wanted $500 to do this but didn't want to do it in front of me (now I know why). They offered $50 savings if they could do it at their office (obviously so I couldn't see what was being done). I havn't done it yet because he told me it was my YSAS board and after buying a replacing a whole new board, that wasn't it. Now I'm going to give this a try...crossing my fingers because i'm having the same issues described.

For good or bad, thanks for this upload!

  • Hello, my friend does tv installs and he replaced the 50" tv with a led. the 50" has the same fault. He gave me the tv thinking its no good. with your video and a bit of work, will give me a new tv. cool banans! Thank you for your video clip. I will let you know how i get on .

  • I had the same problem. I'm about to replace the capacitors!

  • A broken plasma HDTV: $100

    Replacement capacitors: about $10

Successful repair, revealing your investment as a hell of a bargain: PRICELESS

And, if you can't keep your newly repaired HDTV, you can still come out ahead by selling it for more than you paid for it, netting you a very nice profit.

  • ok...replaced two 3300uf w/25volts and still with no avail. when plugged the power cord to the tv, just hear one clicking sound. remote will flashes the front green led indicator. Does anybody has other suggestions?

  • @NightSociety

what should the god of electronics do to solve your problem? press his thumb on your post to feel where the problem is?

if the remote receiver indicator led flashers upon receiving signals chances are the ir receiver is ok and the power rail supporting it is also ok. so your problem is somewhere else.

  • my philips plasma has just green light "ON" when use remote the green light flashes, but still no picture, no sound, could this be the problem? This happens after switch the plug surge supply. Is it obvious to locate the faulty capacitors? I was told can't laid plasma flat like that on ur video, is that false?

  • samsung psu lj44-00101c? ;) I'm looking for a manual.

    nice video

  • I have a very similar display. mine is 42 in and I have the same problem (though mine seemed to come out of nowhere). I wish I were capable of doing this type of thing by myself but I think I'm gonna have to rely on someone else to do it. nonetheless, this video was extremely helpful and now I don't have to sound like I have no clue as to what I'm talking about if the tech tries to rip me off. many thanks.

  • Thank You for posting! I have the same T.V. and can't wait to get started! one question. what capacitor should I order? Are they all the same? I would like to order the parts before I start. Thanks again.

  • I changed The main Board for $300 worked for 10 days and another problem came up...I can see the red light on the TV but when I hit the remote control to switch it on the red light on tv goes off and The tv is dead, Any help? thanks

  • Thanks for taking the time to post this fix----u saved me a bunch.ordered parts off ebay radio shack did not have them. George

  • Thanks.. My stupid tv dose the same thing. It clicks clicks clicks over and over. Its a philips.

  • Thank you thank you. Just fixed my philips 50" following your instructions and I now don't have to pay hundreds for a repair, or buy a new set (which would be impossible right now). Much appreciation man. I filmed it too.. perhaps I'll throw it up also. For what it's worth to anyone reading, Im no pro, just a regular guy. This was not hard.

  • Great script,pity camera focus poor. Won't do close-focus?

Those cap/s have failed! Power-surge not likely cause of cap death! That will blow semiconductors in power supply.(not done?)Most cap blows areare excessive current flow in caps, due to engineering choice at design.Sub-speccing parts!Common in consumer goods.Who needs long-life??Renew with big/better quality caps.

Also big trouble, electrocap suppliers from china shipping duds,in your video timeframe.

    Great work, congrats Christian.

  • Hello, i have a problem with my philips i have a problem with it, it shows no image its all black, it has voice, some inginier said me that a part with tis serial model has a problem

    MOD No.50hdw2plusy B64CH(41)

    pcb number LJ41-0537717

REV NOl R.1.1, those parts at right and left of tv doesn work anymore, if some one has parts or knows what prob it has e-mail me at andiblloshmi@live.com. Thank you.:)

  • what store did you find the capacitors in? wish i had one in driving distance, I have to order all mine online as radio shack sucks

  • That's awesome! I didn't know that Philips was offer a fix for this TV. $250 seems high considering parts are $4-$8 but at least they are offering something I guess. Glad the video was helpful and Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you so much!!!!! I was able to fix my tv for $3.95 for the capacitors from ebay. After my tv broke I called Phillips and they have a plan where you pay $250 flat fee to repair the tv. I saw your video clip and decided to give it a shot, I went to Radio shack, they didn't have the capacitors, so the easiest way is to order from ebay. I never fixed any electronics before, no experience at all, it was easy, fun and it saved me a ton of money!!!!! Thank you again!!!!!

  • Nice to be seing this info out there. BUT - these capacitors are used in a switching power supply. Telltale signs are the inductor and diode directly next to these caps. The one thing that nobody mentions is that these caps -MUST- be low-ESR type capacitors in addition to 105C caps. Go only with name brand caps such as Panansonic FC series or Nichicon PV or PW series, NO Lelan. Going with the higher voltage rating is a -good- thing as the mfr's tended to go as low as possible to save pennies.

  • Great help. I have fixed our Maganavox 50" plasma for $3 as opposed to replacing the board for $800 like the TV repair dude determined. Wow, it wasn't really hard as long as you know how to treat delicate electronics. Great Post!

  • So I followed the video exactly except I could only find 35v 105c 3300mF capacitors. In theory the 35v work the same and shouldn't suffer the under rated issue of the 10v... it would have been much easier with 10 or 16v. The 35v are the next diameter wider so I had to shield the wires so they could be further off the board. I would not recommend the 35v unless you really know electronics it's a tight fight, go with the 16v not the10v though. Anyway, regardless I switched them out and had the

  • thanks, I have the same problem and no sound as well.. I shall prefer to give it a try

    before I throw it out...

  • @daintgautam Glad to help. Let me know how it turns out.

  • christian thanx so much bro u ha

  • @kaoticfir3 No problem. Thanks for posting!

  • I had the same problemwith my 50 in phillips plasma so I took mine apart and it was 4ea 680uf caps and 1ea 1000uf cap. The 3300's were fine. I got the parts for free and had a guy at work solder them in and it works like a champ. Just saved me about $900. Thanks a lot.

  • or what is the exact part you needed would b good

  • kool info christian thanx,,,but my problem is that none of my capacitors have leaks so i cant tell which ones..the ones i thought were fatter than yours and when tookin those out while turned on had the same effect...ive seen your vid mnths ago and still dont kno

  • i just di it yesterday now is workin perfect thank you so much i bougt the capacitors in radio shack $3 each one thanx to you am happy thanxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Christian, Thank you! My TV has the exact same symptoms. I figured I'd be buying a new TV this weekend, but looks like I only need to swap out a couple capacitors. You Rock!

  • @ultravibe2001 That's great news! Thanks for posting!

  • How do you know what way is negative and positive on the board?

  • @bdbfighting the strip on the capacitor must match the marked side on the circle on the board. i just read that somewhere on the net but i cant find the link.

  • my 50" philip plasma started having this problem some months ago... called philip and they told me that it would cost 105 pounds for call out and to check what was wrong before they would tell me how much it would cost.. google the problem and came across ur video. thank you so much it only cost my partner who is not good at DIY- 2.45 pounds to buy the capacitors and repair the tv..it's working very fine now,,,,thanks for the video

  • @toniaasuen I'm glad the video was helpful! Thanks for posting.

  • my phillips tv starts to click repeatedly and does this forever when it is on. IT DOESNT STOP! only when u remove the power supply that it stops. when it is clicking, the remote is useless and cant turn it off manually. There is also no sound coming from the speakers. The model # is 50PFP5332D/37. What should I do?

  • Meet Russian women for dating gettop5.info

  • The capacitors i need to replace are 3300uf 10v 105c too but how do I know which capacitor to choose from. I am really good at soldering. Can you give me a link of where you bought yours?

  • @tylerrayellis I bought mine at a local Electric supply store. I know ebay has been a good source though. Good luck and thanks for posting!

  • I worship your shadow Christian.

Thanks to you, instead of getting into debt again to get another tv, I will try my hand at repairing my 50" philips plasma tv (model # 50PF9731D/37).

It will clicks on but shuts down moments later ( no picture but a second of audio), then a red LCD light starts blinking.

Philips (the company) told me it might be an internal power supply issue; A repairshop agreed and tells me that the cheapest part they found costs $400.

    I am keeping that money!!

  • @Neuuro lol...I'm glad i could help. It's a great feeling to fix something like that and save a ton of cash. Thanks for posting!

  • hi cal, just want to thank you so much for this video,im in birmingham in the uk,i have the same tv in black, and my screen went black,my capacitors where exactly the same state as yours, ive done the same as you and now it works a dream for the cost of a few english pounds, many thanks again, your a life saviour :)

  • @pecks72 That's awesome news man! I'm glad the video is helping people save money, especially in times like these. Thanks for posting!

  • Great vid - very informative.... I just wanted to mention that although this is an easy job , be aware that capacitors store electricity ( even when the T.V isn't plugged in ) and need to be discharged - I know alot of you know this already , but just incase you don't , i thought it's worth mentioning .

  • thank you werry much for yuore video

  • my 50" plasma wasn't so bad off that it didn't work, but it generaly took like 10 to 15 on/offs before it worked then we'd just leave it on all day. Finally today it wouldn't come on at all and I only got the blink codes so I searched around, found your video and took mine apart. Sure enough, the identical problem you were showing with the 2 capacitors. I have to wait 3 days to get them, no one has them in stock but I have positive thoughts that'll probably fix it up.

  • @RabiddSaint Did you get your TV fix with those caps?

  • @cal22583 The caps finally came in a few days ago. Got 'em replaced, plugged everything back in and worked like a charm!

  • I heard plasmas are always supposed to remain upright, did you notice any issues after laying yours flat like that?

  • @bigstud4ubaby i havent had any problems. Its been about 1 year since i i fixed it too. It sat on its face like that for about 90 miles from my grandparents and about a week on my work bench.

  • @bigstud4ubaby i liad mine flat - no problem

  • Thanks man, I got the capacitors from ebay for $8 and it worked.

  • @HipHopCarsDotcom glad the video helped!

  • @HipHopCarsDotcom glad the video helped! Thanks for posting!

  • I did this repair yesterday. Not very difficult if you have some basic soldering skills. Took less than an hour. Moving my TV was the hardest part. My TV fired up right away, no more delays and no more red blinking lights. I found the caps at a local electronics repair shop for $4 each. Just saved myself a bunch of money. Thank you very much for taking the time to post this.

  • @mikeygator1 AWESOME! It's a good feeling to do something like that yourself and save a TON of money. Thanks for posting!

  • Excellent video, I had a Phillips 42 inch TV that is doing exactly the same thing. I decided to do some research on the net and found your video. You basically confirmed my suspicion. Don't worry, I have an electronics engineering degree and should be a piece of cake as far as taking the capacitors out and back in. I have all the equipment for that.

  • @BasementBros2 That's good news man. Thanks for posting!

  • Found my 42" to have the same issue. Then came across this video. Replaced them just as in the video. It now works.... Used 6.3 volt, as they were the only ones in stock. Thank you!!!!!

  • @rbacincinnati The good thing is i did this repair on mine over a year ago and it is still running strong. You should have a good working TV for some time to come! Thanks for posting.

  • I live near KC. Where did you purchase the caps?

  • @MsKUFan I got mine at Electronic Supply Co, 4100 Main, Kansas City, MO, (816) 931-0250. good luck!

  • Very awesome on the video and the help. I just found a couple capacitors that were oozing and this really helps me so i can repair the tv and save some money. Thanks much

  • @bartlettjoe Glad to help man...Good luck on the repair!

  • Where can I buy a 1000 uF / 10v capacitor and a 330uF / 16 v online and other than radioshack

    Btw nice video

  • @ElxChupacabras2 i pretty sure i've seen them on ebay. thanks for posting!

  • I have the same tv with the red blinking light flashing as well. I'm willing to sell it don't want to bother in looking or repairing it. only $100

  • I had done all the soldering thing in my Plasma TV, I'd replace 4 of 10v 3300 microfarad on the power board but still my plasma doesn't work properly, there is sounds but no picture only some spot were had graphics, and the rest were black... please help me. my email is axeph24@yahoo.ca

    thanks

  • @axeph24 you might look into replacing the board. it might cost about $100 but it should fix the problem. i have seen a few on ebay. just type your model number into a search and quite a bit will come up. good luck!

  • @LiquidVitamins123 thanks for posting. The caps I used were 105 degrees and the tv has been running strong for over a year. I made sure to get 105 . I'm not a tv repair guy but I guess they must make blue 105c caps.

  • should of got a surge protector

  • stop zooming in/out, your sound dies when u do that :P

  • @f4r33st lmao xD

  • i have a 2 1/2 yr old philips plasma 42pf9431d/37 twe turned it on and heard a pop sound from the back of the TV we still have a green light and still have sound! Any Idea's?

    Thanks!

  • Christian.

You rock. You saved me a lot of frustration and money. Your video made this easy to do. Don't know where you found capacitors locally. I had to order online and wait a week. Tip for others doing this. When you finish putting it back together and it doesn't come on make sure the connections snap in securely.

  • Refering to capacitor voltage your shop guy was right. The voltage on a cap means the max voltage that particular cap can handle. For example your 10V cap sees a min of 10V. Replacing with a 16V cap that same cap will also see a 10V min in which it will run perfectly fine.

  • OK, so I found your video and said AMEN. I watched it, took my TV apart and saw exactly the same thing wrong with my TV as what you showed in your video. EXACTLY THE SAME CAPS WERE BLOWN.

I had to put in two that had greater voltage (25V and 35V), but TV guy said that would not matter for the repair.

Got home, reassembled the TV and it still won't come on. Clicks when first plugged in. Green light comes on and no video or sound.

    Please provide further guidance. Please..

  • I replaced the two capacitors and there is still the same problem, green light turns to red light blinking 7 times....any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • My tv doesnt have a power supply problem but the hdmi doesnt work , I had a pwer surge also do you think i could have a capacitor thats been cooked by a power surge also ? thanks for the help oh by the way nice job !

  • Have got a phillips tv 42" with the exact problem you described and i followed your advice and found the two blown capacitors exactly were you said they would be and after replacing them the tv works fine even the delay in the volume coming on is working now so thanks for saving me a new tv purchase or a big repair bill and i too have no experience and was able to do it so a big thanks.

  • @foszealand nice! im glad i could help...thanks for posting!

  • @foszealand I replaced the two capacitors and the the problem is still the same, the green light turns to the red blinking light 7 times....any help?

  • @Fitzinvest Are there any other capacitors that have swollen tops?

Also look for cracks in the resistors. The colored bands make them easier to see.

  • hey i have a toshiba 47 inch regza lcd flatscreen tv has a picture but no inverter lights at all i replaced the power board and all all i got was sound and the picture if you look hard at the screen with a light lol lol but the picture is there and all the functions what wrong with this thing

  • did he say his grandparents sold him a broken TV for $100.00? nice family

  • Hi, I have a Philips 50PFP5332D/37, that doesn't turn on, just a cracking noise and blinking leds on the back, I removed the power supply, but i couldn't find any bad capacitor, everything looks good... How can I find out which one is bad??? any ideas?

  • @cadiscol hi!

i have the same problem with the same TV model than you. did you fixed it? if you could help me, i'd be thankful!!

  • you cand get the right capacitors at allied electronics

  • i have a 42pf7320a/37 it looks exactally the same on the inside,as your 50pf9731d/3.ive researched this problem.the green lights come on in the back when i plug it in for about 30 seconds then i hear a click and get a flashing red led in the front of the tv.the exact same two capacitors are numberd c8059 and c8060 are not bulged out.i took the board off and looked for a (cold soder joint).they appear to be fine as far as looks go.

  • Thanks for the video, I have same plasma, but 42" that doesn't turn on, I just removed the back cover and found out the capacitors are blown. Thanks again!!

  • @jotam68 thanks for posting! im glad it helped.

  • Did it worked perfeclty? I noticed some flickering but it could be just the camera, too bad you didn't put on the video when you took out and in the capacitors, would like to see that. Thanks for the video.

  • yeah, worked perfect with no problems. the flicker is the video. thanks for posting!

  • your video has some volume issues.

  • yup. as stated in the description. thanks for posting.

  • Yay, great job

  • thanks!

  • Christian !!!!! You are the man!!! Thank you for posting this video. My TV has been screwed up for a couple weeks now. My wife found this and one other video talking about this issue. I watched it, just took my TV apart, and bam there is the problem. I will be getting the parts tomorrow and hopefully be watching the Masters by noon. Thanks for a great video!!!!!!!!

  • Glad to help! thanks for posting!

  • I'm going to order the capacitors right now on eBay (5 for about $6 free shipping)!

  • same thing happened to my lcd 47 " but all the capacitors seem fine,,,i plug it in clicks then turns off after 10 seconds ..any help thanks...

  • White trash with a 50 inch plasma? is you're wife crazy!! I would kill to have a 100 dollar Plasma!!

  • Yeah, she loves it know. thanks for posting!

  • where can i buy the capacitor???

  • just wanna thank u great video! had the same problem same tv just repaired it this video helped me easy to do u can find the capacitors on ebay for 1$ 4 thanks i can get back to my video games now :)

  • im glad it helped! thanks for posting a comment!

  • Big thanks for taking the time to make this video. I had read about this fix somewhere else on the web but the visual presentation made the difference (especially since I had to make the repair to the exact same 50" phillips plasma). My root cause was a power surge so my advice to everyone out there is to get a really good surge protector for all of your home theater devices, not just your TVs. Thanks again.

  • Thanks for all the support guys! next up on the repair list is an Emerson 32" LCD. part comes in next week! Keep watching and don't for get to rate 5 stars!

  • I have a I have a Sylvania 6842PE Plasma 42' TV. It was given to me.

The power light comes on for about a split second, then then goes back into standby. I read its bad capacitors, but don't know where.

    Any advice?

  • My husband and I both worked on our tv this morning and replaced a capacitor. Sat it up and wala it worked great so we put it back together and got it back up on the wall and what do you know. It stopped working again! ARGH! We are so bummed!

  • did you replace both the caps or just one?

  • We replaced the only one that was bulging...We were suppose to replace more? The other ones weren't bulging so we didn't bother...

  • i would replace both 3300uf caps. they will be side by side if you are working on the same board as this video. though bulging is a good indicator that the cap is bad it may be bad without showing any outward signs.

  • I do have to mention that when we got it up and plugged it into the wall it sparked a little. So I am wondering if it blew something...?

  • You literally saved me about $800. The repair shop told me it would be $700 to fix AND charged me $125 just to look at the TV. Today I went and bought the capacitors from the same repair shop, in total it cost me about an hour of time and $14. I can't thank you enough for posting.

  • I'm glad this video helped. It's really that easy. i had never worked on a tv before this video! don't forget to rate the video....thanks!!!

  • omg lucky $100 and takes only $2 to fix

  • THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK YOUUUUUUU YOU SAVED ME LOTS OF MONEY..I followed your Instruction and WALAA..MY PLASMA TV IS ALIFE..THNX AGAIN.

  • THANKS! don't for get to rate.

  • This has been the best help iv ever found on the net! Congrats and thanks 4 sharin this quality info. I had exact same problem and never done anything like this b4 but credit due I tried it and it works perfectly!! AWESOME RESPECT !! Ps little bit of info most plasmas whatever make have the same samsung masterboard so this should work for the same fault with diff makes and models! Total cost of my repair £1.34 (cost of 2 capacitors)

    I borrowed the tools!

    OUTSTANDING ADVICE!!!!!

  • the audio keeps going on and off...

  • hay i have the same tv in win i trun it on ti go to standby can u help me

  • yeah, should be the same problem as the tv in this video. seven red blinking lights then solid red stand by light. open up the back and take a look at the caps on the inverter board. good lick

  • hi do you know what would be the problem with a toshiba plasma giving me half the same picture below as above like a double image please?

  • The only true way to test electrolytic capacitors especially in psu's is to replace the capacitor.

  • Great job on self-fixing the TV and posting an AWESOME video. Gives me the confidence (as I have no experience in TV fixing) to give it a shot at mine - which when I power on, the light clicks green, then clicks right back to red and it never comes on. Thanks!!

  • Thanks for the awesome video. I successfully performed the exact repair on my broken Philips Plasma. You saved me hundreds of dollars and impressed my friends. Cheers!

  • gonna try and do this to my phillips 42 " soldering gun, wire, and screwdriver with the 2 capacitors all together was around 20 bucks, hopes it works if not well that wasnt to bad of a investment, will post afterwards

  • Very Cool! Nice Job.

  • does anybody know how to fix a plasma monitor that has black vertical lines?

  • I have a PLasma 50inch that comes on and right back off. I have been looking around and it sounds that it might be the capacitors. Any ideas I would really appreciated!!!!!

  • Thanks a million. I'm going to check it out right now.

  • First of all great video. I have a Sylvania 6842pe plasma that has the exact same issues and was told I need a new power supply. They said it would cost $450.00 to $500.00 to fix. I examined the TV myself but i don't see any capacitors that seem blown or deformed. I did some research but came up with nothing. Which ones should i change on my model? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • In my experience with capacitors (it seems like I've changed a lot of them lately) they are rarely deformed. Most videos show a capacitor 'blowing' which pops the top on them. However, the last 4 or 5 that I've changed were all bad and showed no signs of being blown. In my case, I just went ahead and bought new ones (Fry's Electronics) for about $1.49 each. Make sure you pay attention to the polarity (+ -) If you have any questions about it I'll try to help you the best I can. Hope this helps..

  • Thanks man u saved me 700$!!!!! i thank u so mutch

  • glad to help!

  • I have 50" Plasma TV and I Repair bad capacitor wow thanks u save me $500 : )

  • Thanks man. Same capacitors were spiked. There were no lights lit on my motherboard though. Power supply tested ok. The fuse where the wire from the power supply connects to the board was blown in addition to capacitors. Watched video on soldering circuit boards first. Only two issues: 1 TV went out on Thanksgiving, RS didn't have parts and supply house didn't open till Monday. 2 Fixing TV killed excuse to upgrade.

MNF never looked so good as when I plugged in and TV came on. Thanks!

  • Thanks for posting everyone!

  • Hey Thank you so much for taking your time and doing this !! we had this problem too and was lots of money to fix till we found you Thank you so much and Merry Xmas ... p.s if radio shack doesnt carry check Ebay.

  • Thanks for the help, I saved over $200 in repairs.

  • ok i just opend up my philips plasma that has the same board like this but all my capacitors look good...they all look the same not in a boner state like yours

  • The 3300UF caps are the most common problem with this board. since you have it open and if you have the time it's not a bad idea to change them out even if they don't look bad. in some case you may not see a visible problem. hope this helps!

  • ok i will change them out. this is my first time ever doing tv repair like you so i hope everything goes good. by the way... where is a good place to buy those capacitor replacements?? can i find them at radio shack?? also which is the brand you bought for yours? model number and all. i have a 42" plasma not the 47' but i think they all have the same capacitors right? because i do see the 2 3300UF caps that are located in the same stop as yours.

  • your the fucking man homie. my 47 plasma just went out too and i am going to try this fix. thanks again for this tutorial

  • I have this problem too. i also bought the tv from someone for 200 dollars. thre screen is black with good sound. i took the back off tapped on a couple capacitors and it came on. later that night i turned it off i went to sleep, the next morning..........black screen.

  • What a brilliant video - thank you so much for sharing that information. At first glance - I didn't notice that the capacitors were bulging - but checked again and could see that the tops of them were slightly raised. Got replacement capacitors for 8 euro!!! Used solder gun for the first time - everything worked !!!! Couldn't believe it - dreaded the thought of having to pay huge sum for repair so close to Xmas. Thank you so much from Ireland.

  • @MsEggy1

  • OH YEAH! when money is tight it gives you a lot more motivation to make things happen yourself. thanks for posting!
