I can't imagine having several hundred students, like he had before he and Affiliated Artists split, and have to answer every one like he did. I wish Jimmy well with his new endeavors. If all you critics have half the success that Jimmy Bruno has had, you should consider yourself blessed.
I want to see the student's videos too... A web institute is a good idea... But, for guys who don't have a camera or the ones that don't know how to record and compress their footage would have a problem!
to PRS: i know people like you, I know you wanna play like bruno too, but ur just envious and cant admit that music doesnt fit at you all! what had you proved anyway? NOTHINg !!!
@prsguitarsr4me The guy was a fraction of a semi-tone sharp and he was able to tell... He said "Let me see how sharp this is" and sure enough he was... I don't know many people who can do that. Where can I listen to you play Mr. PRS? Someone who talks such a big game probably headlines all over the place, right? Headlining from his bedroom Friday night, Mr. PRS Guitars for ME!
@prsguitarsr4me hahaha. i just listened to you play, and maybe your lines are "modern" but they're boring and soulless and you sound like a clone of a couple guys you mentioned...I'm sure I'll see you in NY sometime to let you know what I think in person, and in the meantime I'll tell everyone how you are one of these pretentious youtube assholes with an ego the size of jupiter and that you suck...be careful who you talk to, you'll ruin your reputation very quickly and your career
@prsguitarsr4me(AKA MIKE ROOD) The foolishness of youth! 21 year old guitar boy, new to new york thinks his shit don't stink and decides to come on the youtube channel of a major jazz media outlet and alienate himself from Jimmy Bruno fans, Jazz Improv magazine fans, and the magazine itself. While we are doing CD reviews and editorial to help you colleagues gain visibility and success, you are telling us you're not interested in any of that. Was it worth it Mike Rood?Humility and respect are key
@prsguitarsr4me Wow! You know, everyone is out of tune sometimes...and as for Jimmy's examples,he is teaching a student! You said that you aren't just talking about this video.Have you listened to Jimmy's playing on the stage and in the studio? Opinion?OK,but pretty mean of you.I'm not looking up your videos and saying that stuff.
Frankly,Jimmy is a hero to me.I would love to do this online school with him if I could afford it.Anyway-I'm not here to harp on you,but I felt compelled to respond.
just a bit of constructive criticism... did you think that we really wanted to watch a guy tune up and then your test shoots? the other stuff is interesting, cheers.
Justin, that "guy" is Jimmy Bruno, and for fans of Jimmy and subscribers to his guitar school, I do think they could appreciate such a candid moment (something they wouldn't see otherwise).... If it were Justin Sandercoe tuning up, might not be as significant ;) haha, just fighting back mate..cheers
Mike Rude, the shopping channel just called, they want their 'compositions' back

Youre all acting like this troll is the negative one yet you are the ones making this guy into a topic. Youre all a bunch of hypocrites!

For all of you who bash this genius of a guitar player...grow up because your ignorance is embarrassing your parents.

The first 2 1/2 minutes of this are just mesmerizing, especially the opening tune, "Tune Up."

Haha, checked out Mike Rood, the guy talking all of the shit. He's the Kenny G of guitar. Very unimpressive.

Great career move when you have to have a major jazz magazine point out what an idiot you are.
