It must be about time they replaced the premium with a new truck? it's absolutely dire. one of the most uncomfortable trucks I have ever driven, the driver is squeezed into a tiny little space, the tacho drawer hits your knee when ejected and the cab nods like an early '80s Leyland. It has no redeeming features whatsoever, it does not even pull very well.
Now i notice that its much more powerfull than before believe me 45tons and the truck goes like a car haha but only for while than the gearbox failure.Pull nearly 105 tons on hill using the C gear(not only my truck, i pull a truck of my friend which he cannot climb the hill)so total weigh nearly 105 tons and i was amazed by the C gear,its really a strong gear.

Tired of frequent gear changed so i brought it to the mechanic and he said something wrong to the fuel pump and repair but still the same.After done nearly 4000km since overhauled the 3rd piston got jammed and need to reopened again..sucks rite haha
did repair and notice no power but too much of black smoke which u dun want to see in a Euro engine and brought it back,this time something wrong wit the fuel nozel and repair it and did some adjustment to the fuel pump and now its ok
Hey bro i drove renault premium 385 and its a 1999 model,bought it reconditioned and its already clocked about nearly 700000km but i have some trouble when it reach 470000km the engine has undergone a major overhaul(all 6 piston changed,valve change etc...)cost me a boom!!...haha
But now other problem persist,engine no power since overhauled,i used to haul nearly 41 tons and no problem on going up any hill and rarely use the C gear but now 34 tons only have to change to the C gear on small hill

Overall its a good truck but i always prefer the MAN or scania truck and volvo,they a simply the best.
But i always a proud owner of Renault premium.
