Everything is cheaper to buy when you ensemble it yourself, but you'll have to put a lot more time in to it, Like a Car, a House, a Table, a Chair, a Lightbulb etc. For example I could make a dinner for Four, for $50, and it might take me an hour or two to prepare, or I could go to a local fast food restaurant, and get my food instantly for an extra $40 without having to wait 1-2 hours. alienware isn't terrible i had the one of the first model computers to come out after dell bought them the way they setup the wiring and parts in their cases is amazing and confusing. They are expensive but will last you years if you take good care of them and buy a high end one.
