Well, first off, that is not an F-22. We COULD allow for supersonic transports, but then people wouldn't want to live where the booming is the most severe, and thus we would be stepping on people's right to their "Pursuit of Happiness." Do you remember that part of the DoI? Most panty-waisted, tree-hugging types tend to forget that one. Oh! The B-2 is NOT supersonic either.
Oh! And the Concord WAS allowed to fly supersonic! The issue is that it is difficult to fly supersonic commercially. Too expensive. The Concord gave it a shot, but it took nearly 20 years for the Frogs and the Limies to realize that it is not a money-making venture. It was the pride of their nationalism that lead them to take so long to realize this. We Americans saw the futility early on and threw in the towel.
No country allows supersonic flight over land except for specific military operating areas (like the desert around Nellis AFB.) The concorde only went supersonic over the Atlantic. And like Red says, it isn't economical to make supersonic transports because it takes a lot of energy to actually push through the sound barrier.
I hate the people that live next to the airport and complain about the noise. Sorry YOU chose to buy your house there !!!

amazing we make supersonic planes to kill people, not for airliners. Its ok for an f-22 to boom your house , but the concorde ????
