  • What an amazing voice and a blessing to all who listen.Thank you for posting.

  • This may sound funny, but Cantor Lemmer needs to sing to the world. He needs to get an agent. People all around the world are missing out on something special and inspired by G-d.

  • It is a plea to G-d, translated thus;

"Remember us for life, O King Who seeks to give life, and inscribe us in the Book of Life, for Your sake, O Living G-d ... this prayer is said only during the 10 days form Rosh Hashana to Yom Kippur, the first ten days of the Jewish year.

The Jewish people seek only life. (As opposed to those who seek death, and for which reason there should only be One State of Israel, no second state that teaches its children the cult of death)

  • Cantor Lemmer has voice that is astounding!! It's so very beautiful!! Haunting and beautiful. Thanks for posting this!!

  • חזן צעיר ומדהים. ממש לבכות!

  • incidentally, they curl those pius, side curls. in rollers. Otherwise the hair would just hang down.

  • @StJouish so..

  • @pasadenagene Just an incidental comment from someone interested in hair care. No need to be snide. And if you thought it was uncalled for, why generate more correspondence? Why not ignore it and move along?

  • @StJouish i apologize.

  • @pasadenagene Apology accepted.

  • It's not bad that he is barely opening his mouth, it actually shows a great technique of holding a "mask". His larynx is down, but his mouth is kept at the same position. Only if it's very necessarily on very high notes, he opens his mouth wider to create a special sub-sound. I am currently learning academic vocal, so ye I kinda know this stuff. And I talked to Yaakov personally, he is a very good guy and a great singer.

  • מעולה

  • Gracias por compartirlo, me gustaría si es posible la letra en español de esta música o donde la puedo averiguar, es tan hermosa.

  • @pezbello28 por lo regular aveces son salmos, o estrofas de la torah, talmud etc

  • This is beautiful, even for goyim.

  • Oh! How beautiful! A fine example of the loveliness of Jewish liturgical music.

  • To Shiezoli;

It is a song asking Adonai to Remember us and inscribe us in the book of life for another year. The key passage is "Remember us unto life, Sovereign who delights in life, and inscribe us in the Book of Life, for Your sake, O God of life.

Zocreinu, Zocreinu L'Chaim melech hafeitz V'Chaim.

This particular prayer is said only during the Yamim Noraim, the ten Days of Awe that begin with Rosh Hashanah and culminate with Yom Kippur.

    Hope the info was helpful.

  • Gyönyörű.Köszönöm a feltöltést.

  • A chazzan for singers

  • Absolute Beauty.

  • Sensational !!! Thanks for posting.

  • thank you Dobrib for drawing my attention to זכרנו לחיים this is the piece in Hebrew (Zokhreinu leHaim) from Yom Kippurim liturgy ! The Cantor is very good and if he barely opens his mouth and this is the result ? why should one care?

Beautiful Synagogue the one in Budapest but far from being the "most beautiful" one in the world. Comeon!

    Thanks Dobrib for your kindness

  • lol timkendal. i watched in amazement as i noticed him barely open his mouth throughout the entire performance :)

  • Wonderful. But I can't hep thinking that you would find it useful to open your mouth when you are singing. It remains almost closed.

  • @timkendal Maybe just the opera singers find the need to open the mouth wide when singing.

  • Que belleza las imagenes y el contenido de la plegaria. Con cuanta emocion la interpreta!.

  • @18bendiciones

Un placer escuchar esa bellízima voz. Me gustó mucho escucharla repetidamente

  • hope that he not get high in head and low in hart.

He have a touch in his voise wish I find beauty for the sorrowful jewish songs.

He touched my hart with his singing. For me since I don`t understand a word of what they are singing, I respond on the feeling of the songs message, not only the singers la la la.

have a good day from Norway

  • @papadopilo Thats the beauty of music, we can appreciate the sound ,even if we dont understand the language.

  • beautiful jewish music, Sounds like a jewish (Irish tenor Ronan Tynan)

  • @Michaelbos Oh you know of Ronan Tynan ? He used to sing one of our national songs at the New York Yankees games [that is until he was caught making an antisemetic remark], unfortunately the Yankees management decided to release Tynan from his obligation. Too bad, i liked hearing him sing, great voice . But he should have kept his mouth shut especially in New York.

  • Absolutely great. I am hearing more of this chazzan and can't wait to hear him live. Thank you for sharing this video.

  • Very nice stuff!

Great control! Great Voice, Great Feeling!

  • can somebody explain me what is this song all about who made that and when ???

  • It's a song depicting the way Jews act before and during the High Holidays. There is an air of awe and repentance throughout, and everybody begs G-d 'to be inscribed in the book of life' for the year to come. The refrain is in perentacies. At the end we beg G-d that next year we shall lead the services in Jerusalem.

  • thanks !! who made that song and when ????

  • It was Composed by Reverend Avraham Singer I dont know his exact bio but he lived in the US in the 40's.

  • Rabbi Avraham Singer, there is no such thing as a reverend in Judaism

  • @shiezoli Hi. Incidentally ,that is not a song. It is a prayer, which is said during the ten days of repentence between the Jewish New Year and Yom Kippur. Cantors are religious leaders that are trained to sing [or chant] the prayers in the temple. This is the custom from long ago, and still is used today. I do not know who wrote it, or the date of origin, but it must be many centuries if not 1000s of years old.

  • Thank you for posting this gorgeous video! It is a pleasure to finally see a full quality film on youtube!

  • beautiful, Lemmer is bringing back real cantorial moments from the past

  • This is the best of Lemmer on youtube. He's like good wine only gets better as time goes by.

  • I just hope he won't store himself away like they do with wine. Does anyone know if Cantor Lemmer is working on an album?

  • Really enjoyed this one.

    Spectaculer
