what do you think about marshall's protocol? i'm so confused. i am young with lots of chronic diseases, i have been experiencing extreme BONE PAIN for a long time, finally i started supplementing with vitamin d and i feel better. but marshall's says it's not good. i just don't know what to believe
I really am concerned about excessive vit. D3. On the website?
I do see some inflammatory improvement when people take more D3, but it may be short-lived as the further suppression of the VDR actually ends up making things worse.
Vitamin D is not a "nutrient." More importantly, Vitamin D is NOT a "Vitamin," it's a secosteroid that's responsible for many hormonal and metabolic pathways in the body. Everyone just tests for Vitamin D3, which came up low for me in the 20s, however most doctors do not test for 1,25D (Vit D2), which came up abnormally high at 91 pg/ml. This shows there is an imbalance in the VDR receptor which controls the innate immune system, which is responsible for fighting off bacteria and pathogens.
@TheSport78 Thank you for your comment. I touch on this In the article associated with this video. We left out details on the video in order to minimize confusion. Thank you for your input.
@chirodc632001 No problem. In fact, I noticed when I stopped taking all Vitamin D supplementation through food and over-the-counter supplements, my symptoms improved. There's research beginning to surface about the VDR receptor, and the causes of there being dysfunction within the actual receptor, which causes other hormonal and metabolic problems. For example, I have thyroiditis, but no anti-bodies which is what doctors keep testing for. The fact is, 1,25D has a very high affinity for the...
@TheSport78 thyroid, so when 1,25D rises due to VDR dysfunction due to chronic, possible life-long bacteria and/or pathogens, thyroiditis can occur, as well as other hormonal problems within the adrenals, male and female sex hormones, etc. I'm 25 years old and have low testosterone, low cortisol, low DHEA, etc. I'm on a specific treatment now which has improved my life tremendously with these issues.
Hey Dr, glad to see you back again...you remember my comment on your 'pcos' video? well after i lost the weight my cycle came back and my testosterone is 'normal' for a female and i have no signs/symptoms of pcos anymore...all through watching your video and the advice you gave us, isn't it amazing what a change of diet can do to a body, thankyou :)
