Does that glitch work on contact or does it need to be speaking before it begins to glitch

In general It works when you press a button. But it can start glitch randomly.

what pins are they? In order for me to turn mine on, i have to short it out and it only says the "word zap level one" and then i have to cut the power and start over (the keypad broke). If i could find those points, i could generate noise whenever i wanted and begin looping and working with that rather than just "WZ level 1"
