That's brutal man. Although, I've seen the exact same thing in my Transglobe building. A couple of years ago an old fellow in a basement apartment started to have problems with water damage. It took Transglobe a year to get around to fix the problem. The old fellow passed away a couple of months later. Honestly, I can't help but feel that Transglobe contributed to his emotional and physical problems. I don't know if those problems led to his eventual death but it couldn't have helped.
I live in this building as well, and dont agree with the bad press it is getting on this site. This is a beautfiul property and I love my apartment. Whenever we had ANY issues, they were resolved almost the same day. Although, I do have to admit, your video looks bad, I am sorry that this happened to you but am sure TransGlobe will resolve the issue.
abiegilleyify and rachelleosheen -- do you know eachother by chance? It just seems odd that you both join Youtube today, and decided to both post about this video.
I haven't lived in 545-547 Belmont for over 2 years, and I hope for your sake, Transglobe has fixed all the problems (it took over 10 months for them to fix my leaks).
skamantrumpetter's post below has a more recent account of the building, and he says it still had problems.
I live at Belmont and dont even remotely agree with the comments below. Belmont is a wonderful place to live in! We love our apartment, never had a leak or issue and enjoy the company of the site staff that organize pot lucks, parties and various other activities. To darealwiggum I would say, I am sorry you had a leak, but this doesnt represent the entire building or complex! Stop trashing the reputation of my home!
I apologize that I haven't commented on this earlier. If you did/do live in 545/547 Belmont, please contact me if had problems with water leaks. I have information which will help you
I used to live at 547 Belmont. Transglobe only cares about making profit and nothing else. If you decide to fight them in court, they will provide any excuse to reduce your compensation as much as possible.
Never rent from Tranglobe. I just moved from 547 Belmont about two weeks ago, the building and my apartment had the following issues:
1) Lived on the top floor, leaking roof caused water damage in the bathroom/outside hallway for 5 months. I fought Transglobe with the Landlord & Tenant board and didn't really get anywhere.
2) Garbage is stored in the moving room in which one the elevators backdoor enters, causing the elevator to smell like garbage. Also, the hottub was broken most the time!
545-547 Belmont Ave Kitchener ON N2M 5G7, although i can't recommend renting from any other their buildings, as I know many others who have had issues as well.

I can even list more issues with the building. If anyone has questions, I'm willing to answer your questions.

What is it with Transglobe? Common thread is broken elevators, boarded up garbage chutes, filth. Which building do you live in?

Never EVER rent from Transglobe. You'd be better off living in a homeless shelter or the street.

@trig: Yes, the electical plug is there, but imo more concerning is the (semi-open) basebord heater. FYI, I'm alive and no longer live there.
