Wrong. Everybody wants to be a "rock star" but Elvis and Mick Jagger don't grow on trees. He's a Southerner who grew up on the water, spent most of his early years in Nashville, New Orleans, and Key West. You don't stay so good for so long if you're faking it.

I used to be a major league Parrot Head and adored Jimmy Buffett, until he confessed he only did the easy going, Calypso beat (with steel drums & all, with the Coral Reefer Band moniker) with his songs; because he initially started the shtick as a joke. Like other failed rockers, Buffett chose Calypso as opposed to country, like other failed rockers like Toby Keith & Alan Jackson...who became "country stars" whoring their way into those markets. Mendacity at its worst. Yuck. Phonies galore.
