Thanks for the video. i have loved this song for a long time. I think they sound even batter now. Especailly Richards bass voice.

  • Who is singing bass on this?

  • @FalconFan23 The Oak Ridge Boys' bass singer is Richard Sterban. Known to fans in the Bass Community as The Golden Voice. Well, maybe just to me, but he's awesome. :)

  • I actually liked 8-trax better than cassette, because I rarely wanted to listen to a whole album but with cassette you were stuck with it. 8-track, you could split it up a bit.

  • THIS SONG IS STILL MY FAV

  • Props for still having a working 8 track

  • That sound quality is EXACTLY what I remember as a kid driving around with my mom. She would sing her heart out, and us kids would join in on the chorus! hahah

  • I get shivers every time I hear that low note "mow mow!"

  • same....and the funny is that i can actually hit that low

  • You can hit THAT low note? Not until I hear it...I've never heard a human hit a lower note that him :)

  • i turned 4 that year and i still love it

  • An 8 track tape? Now you know this is old!..LOL

  • i love old country too and i love The Oak Ridge Boys

  • I was 4 when the song came out in 1981

  • Im 14 too and i love all this stuff. classical, 60's 70's, much better than some of the musicless rubish that comes out now

  • i love this song by the oak ridge boys i remember when it was released back in 1981

  • It ought to be a crime to remind people of the horrors of the 8-track. Leave the dead [technology] lying...in the 1970s, where it belongs!

  • this was the first song i sang at karaoke

    awesomeness

  • My sister is 19 and I am 14, we know how to operate a rotary phone, we had one forever, as well we can work an 8 track and know what it is and my sister, especially, LOVES this song.

But you're right in saying MOST young people wouldn't know..xD

  • Im 25 and ive been around 8tracks and rotary dial phones all my life. I have 3 phones that are featured in my videos.

  • This must have been somewhat of a late 8-track, I seem to remember this song was popular in the early 80's.

  • most of the young folks won't know what an 8 track is

  • probably wouldn't know how to make a call on a rotary dial phone nether. lol

  • im 1 of the few kids ho actually likes the 70's stuff

im 12,and i love old music, and records and stuff like that
