An actual working 8 track player. It sounds real good. I am surprised that the tape is in such good shape concidering this type of media went out of the main streem befor the 1980's ended. Thanks for the video. i have loved this song for a long time. I think they sound even batter now. Especailly Richards bass voice.
@FalconFan23 The Oak Ridge Boys' bass singer is Richard Sterban. Known to fans in the Bass Community as The Golden Voice. Well, maybe just to me, but he's awesome. :)
OHHH WHAT THE F!!!!!!! An 8 track player? Man that is a treasure........I haven't seen one of those since my father had one in his car and it skipped everytime we hit a bump.
wow...elvira...best song ever in the history of ever, plus its funny,so thats always good too.also,i miss when songs faded out like this one does in the end...nowadays they just get right into the next one.
I actually liked 8-trax better than cassette, because I rarely wanted to listen to a whole album but with cassette you were stuck with it. 8-track, you could split it up a bit.
That sound quality is EXACTLY what I remember as a kid driving around with my mom. She would sing her heart out, and us kids would join in on the chorus! hahah
My sister is 19 and I am 14, we know how to operate a rotary phone, we had one forever, as well we can work an 8 track and know what it is and my sister, especially, LOVES this song.
But you're right in saying MOST young people wouldn't know..xD
I just found my mother's 8-track player the other day, lol xD FLASHBACK!

It ought to be a crime to remind people of the horrors of the 8-track. Leave the dead [technology] lying...in the 1970s, where it belongs!

Im 25 and ive been around 8tracks and rotary dial phones all my life. I have 3 phones that are featured in my videos.
jefferyb304 3 years ago
This must have been somewhat of a late 8-track, I seem to remember this song was popular in the early 80's.
