7 Months Post-Op 92 lbs GONE!

Congratulations...I'm so proud of you..My highest weight was 261 and today I am 164...I didn't do surgery..All natural...exercise and lifestyle change...But everyone has to work through these issues the way that they can and you encourage me to move forward...My BMI was 36% and now 27%..I too was excited when I saw that I was overweight instead of obese...I have a goal of 140lbs and I should hit this by the end of the year..Take care and Many blessings

did you have any excess skin? I am thinking about the surgery but a little scared.

@720ent Yeah I have a little extra skin here and there but it's nothing I can't live with. Being in a healthier place physically far outweighs the skin issue for me. And if it ever gets to the point where I don't want to deal with it, there's always plastic surgery. My advise would be, don't worry about the skin - concentrate on your health. Big Hug, Tamika

I like how you set a realistic goal and then say, "anything after that is a bonus!" I'm "supposed" to be at 120. But I was happy at 140 (when I used to be there). So that's my goal...140. Pat myself on the back, too. Anything past that will be a bonus :)

@523melanie One-derland is when you make it into the 100's. So the moment your scale no longer starts with a 2 and you get to 199 you are officially in onderland which is a wonderful place!!! Thanks for saying I looked pretty, that was sweet :) God Bless you too!

Based on your starting weight 288 and your goal 170 you're actually 4% from your goal. 288 - 170 = 118 118/288 = 0.41 = 41% (a 118 pound loss is 41% loss of your original weight of 288). Now you're 182, so you need to lose 12 pounds to reach your goal. 12 /288 = . The 10% you calculated 12/118 is the percent left of the 118 pounds you need to lose, but it is not you body weight percentage.
