i plan on doing this with my 93 s10 this summer would you happen to know if the stock motor mounts will work for that same motor? and anthing that would be a major pain in the ass while installing or even after having it running? btw my s10 is a 1993 s10 4x4 extended cab 4.3l v6

Sounds like highway gears, if you have a 4 spd auto then throw some 3.73, or 4.10/.11's under that thing. The gears will make it feel like a totally different truck/motor. You can thank me later.

just wondering, i have a 2001 s10 but its not a extreme. if i found a crash extreme could i rob the body parts from it? Sweet truck btw. I want to do this with my truck someday.

thats thing is awesome ... however, i dont agree with the front end body kit swap ... I had a Blazer Xtreme. the factory body kits are, i think, perfect on the all Xtremes.

your truck is sweet tho with that motor. sounds fantastic.

I want to get another Blazer Xtreme ... great trucks.

@19jody72 i did the wiring it was really simple doing the swap the way i did... on really hot day it would run about 240 degrees wile sittin in trafic when the fans where off it would jump down to 210 as soon as they kicked in but it was due to me using the factory 4.3 rad. doesnt matter anymore truck is gone :(

I used to have a 1995 S-10 that I loved. I am hoping to buy another one and do the V8 swap (hopefully regular cab, ZQ8, 5-speed manual).

@s10autox is your truck 4.3 or 2.2 if its 4.3 you shouldn't have clearance issues, you have to use modified f-body manifolds. or custom of coarse.

@bigpoppa92 Ive got a 96 with a 5.7 vortec out of a z71 an the only thing i did was order the transdapt mount kit an headers. The z71 was the same year an i just used its computer. Same harness as the s10. Oh yea thats with a factory 4..3 vortec in the s10. A little tricky with the bellhousing but overall not to bad. Im pleased with it. Its been running over a year an no problems yet. VERY fun to drive.

@CourtneylovesMike bad news this truck is gone :( one late night home and passed a cop doin 70 in a 45 see he was about to come after me and silly me decided to step on it! turned down the next road i seen witch happend to be a road i was not very familar with... it was dark my head lights suck and i came up to a stop sign doin 90mph and i could go either left or right rolled an had to call the cops back to come get me! lucky me lost my license for 2 months thats it! motor is still good though

@lopezorozco i got the engine for free from my cousin..... less than 4,000 miles :) i bought headers a uesd vortec intake and motor mounts... then had the computer flashed.... i have less than 1,000 in it..... needs tranny build and rear end... and a good wheel and tire and ill be happy
