  • Used to hate the Class 31's up to their end of their working lives. Nearly had a near miss when brakes failed to operate on one of my workings. Had to evacuate cab one day on another one as it filled up with fumes - 2 days later it was withdrawn (31466)

  • wasnt the fire alarm.. but it was loud..

and all that smoke got rid of afew spiders.dozens of them were absailing from the roof

  • FLAMEOUT!!

  • 0:25 - Hellfire (quite literally)!

  • amazing

  • Welll, Brush must be the GE of the UK, The GE locomotives in the states LOVE to shoot flames :)

  • The class 31 was built by Brush, with Brush electrical equiptment, but has an English Electric powerunit in it. Similar to the Class 37.

  • I've never heard any AWS sounding like that.

  • Wonder if Zontar had moved his class 31 'catalytic converter experiment' indoors?

    "Okay Frank, start her up!"

*Class 31 clag spreads everywhere, fire alarms start ringing*

    LOLZ!

  • I see it even set the alarms off at the end too! 5*

  • Good to see 31452 still alive and well; I haven't seen her since I rode in her cab at Crewe works in 2003...

I guess that's a good way to defy the smoking ban, but I hope she didn't set the fire alarms off! LOL
