@xmugeninfinitex praxis as a whole is definitely avant-garde, but a couple albums have much more patterned stuff in it, like transmutation and metatron, but why do we have to put music into a genre, I have two genre's, stuff I listen to and stuff I don't listen to :)
Cool name of account... and oh BH is the greatest guitar player of our time, i think thats pretty obvious by now... so rock on and hail to the bucket... one of my fav songs of all time...
yeah. the thing with buckethead (and people like him) is that he has consistently made good music that is true to himself and slowly catched on. instead of making music that would instantly make him popular. music that would be unoriginal and fake.
I remember stumbling upon Buckethead's music about 10 years ago...he is the most original artist I have come across. Since then, nothing else has even come close.
the difference between those two types of music is that the instant hit usually is the best the first time you listen to it. everyone likes it when they first hear it cuz its catchy. then it gets old fast and everyone forgets about it in a couple years. but good music is the worst the first time you listen to it, and it gets better every time you listen to it. thats what lasts.
the guitar he is using here is an 1980s ibanez rocket roll II these guitars are currently discountinued by ibanez, they stoped being produced in 1993 I believe.
this sounds really good with the edited audio man! alot better than the original tape that's for sure. I do not own this show on a DVD right now, i've seen bit's and pieces of it, not in full length though. I'd love to own a copy of this with the edited audio if you decide to send a few out.
um, yeah. if i do that ill be sure to let you know, got the other project first though... but yeah, its a pretty cool show. not the best quality or line up, but they play all the old classics... and yeah, thanks for the info..
This man is something else.
