Well I'm pretty sure than killing is killing no matter what. Whether something is killed humanely or inhumanely based on an American definition of the terms doesn't change the fact that these animals die. Here's an idea. Since Mike Vick's kids can't have a dog yet, they can visit the Rocks' and all the kids can learn the basics of drowning, electrocuting and beating dogs to death. Mike probably won't be able to attend (because of probation) but his little girls will be able to tell him about all the fun they had and he'll be thrilled. Then, when they can get pets, they will know just what to do with 'em and how to please daddy, too.

vick was the highest paid nfl player. he had the biggest contract in NFL HISTORY at 7 yrs 130 million. i'll say this. Vick served more time than his cousin who did 10 times more damage to the animals vs what vick did. his cousin aint even in jail. his cousin is living his life and NO ONE even protests against him. that shows me that you dog lovers dont really care that dogs were killed. you care that he is going to get paid more than you. money is power in society which yall dont want him havin.

The only difference between Vic and Palin is the public acceptance. Both are killing one of Gods creatures. Having a licence may justify it legally, but morally, it is still killing. Thats really what CR is elucidating. Our MORAL inconsistencies.

We all know this to be true and really dude you're missing the point behind the joke. Both of these things are animals and the only real difference is social acceptance. That's why the law is the way it is. Chris Rock was simply stating that killing is killing and that the law favors one killing over another and it seems rather hypercritical for such laws to exist. No one is saying that Vick didn't break the law, but the law is the creation of a hypercritical system. Plus its a joke dude!

Nobody is "missing" the point. You are just an idiot! Killing "game" for food or even for sport is commonly done with respect for the animal. Especially to not suffer and make a clean kill. Well I'm pretty sure than killing is killing no matter what. Whether something is killed humanely or inhumanely based on an American definition of the terms doesn't change the fact that these animals die. I'm not saying what Vick did was wrong by American standards, but pigs are treated quite harshly as well. The only difference is our connection to certain groups of animals. Plus I've seen bow hunting and shooting an animal in the heart so it can run away and die hours later is rather harsh.

Gosh I thought more people loved dogs and knew about the grotesque horror those 'fighting dogs' had to go through for some entertainment.
In the wild, if too many males of many species build up there is tremendous trouble, and hunting is an ancient practice, though I'd never do it.
"Going to the store to buy meat" CCCJ, the bovine has been transported and electrocuted in line, don't make the comparison.
Anyway ... I'd hate to be a dog in the US after this reaction thats for sure!

...I was merely stating that in the short run, his comment makes some sense. Now whilst I don't think it's a race thing as he puts it, I do think it's bias in someway. Now perhaps I should've made myself a bit clearer - but I just don't agree with the way they go about with the killing. As I said I am not a Vegan or Vegetarian, I just think that the slaughter and then display of an animal in the way which he described Palin doing so, is cruel - IMHO sir or ma'am.
