If you've talked to any long term veterans (40+) you would know that a lot of military money goes to VA hospitals which run pretty much on universal health care and don't always provide adequate care despite the price tag.

But in case that's not your point, you need to do the math on the costs of a nuke going off in LA or NYC and it's a whole lot more than $600 billion a year.

If you actually wanted to bring down costs in health care you should advocate modeling it after our successful car insurance model. By breaking up state insurance monopolies it will through competition:

1) Lower Costs (even for Medicaid)

2) Improve Care

3) CREATE JOBS!!!

4) Not cost TRILLION$, BILLION$, or even MILLION$ in tax money, just a simple bill that removes the obstructive regulation that blocks interstate commerce in healthcare which creates this abysmal state insurance monopolies.

The US Military Budget JUST FOR THIS YEAR is well over $600 Billion dollars. That is why we are going bankrupt. We've spent TRILLIONS in the past decade on the military.
