@JamesGamesish Senate? You mean SPQR?. You can play as SPQR if you edit a file however they are not enjoyable as a faction. You don't get any perks with it and no room to expand. Playing as one of the three Roman factions is far better.

I like rtw alot but hate having to dominate a factio in order to get.....I fight a faction then another comes and destroys it.....IT PISSES ME OF!!!

I learnt from experience that by playing the short campaign for any roman faction and completing it unlocks EVERY playable faction regardless if they were not destroyed

@frederichschulz you do know there is a rebel settlement in ireland, if i have enemy behind me i always get rid of them so you don't have to worry about getting a suprise attack.

@oliverxboxable I know this map like the back of my hand. But the Irish Rebels don't do anything. In fact, all rebels don't really do anything except take over your roads, watchtowers, ports, and shipping ways.

@Jgearhalo - No no.  This is actually the hardest campaign in this game. But the game is quite easy. Though it does take some getting used to. Personally, when I first started, I used cheats all the time. Helped me learn the mechanics and have fun with. And then when I wanted challenge. I stopped using the cheats. It's a great game though. I recommend it.

@Jgearhalo - Nope. There are two options when selecting a campaign. Long and short. The Long Campaign, says you need to capture 50 cities, and take over the city of Rome.

The Short campaign says take over 15 cities, and destroy or outlast a specific faction.

I usually only play as Greece and Carthage so I never really get to fight that much on the Northern part of the map and I hate playing as the Romans because you always have the Senate nagging to do something but I think that it would be intiresting to play as a Barbaric nation for  a change.

man this game is so stupid.. i mean if you play the guals the damn red romans attack you & everyone else.. so i started with the spanish dudes and the romans DONT ATTACK the guals! what the fuck! they just sail and attack me

its like the game is desigend so everyone FIRST attack YOU

Started a Briton Long Campaign a Couple of Days ago im doin Quite well i Just Took Down Half of France and Have Fought Against the Dacia

There are Two Alliances and i never thought it would work

Briton + Germany v French Gaul + Spain

After me Invading Dacia and Taking one of there Provinces they made a agreement with the French Gaul so i am just seeing how it works out,

I took 1 Province in Northern Spain which is Wrecked Due to the Leader Dying over there so its just waiting for now

nice vid, im playing them right now but the guals are driving me up the wall. I been in 3 MASSIVE battles with them (just for 1 city) and theres ANOTHER massive army coming straight for me. help please i cant get any further.

Just kill them before they have a chance to do the same to you.

Ally with the Germans, and Take the Gallic Cities of Alesia, and Campus "forgot the name" (The city in Brittany, NW France).

Do that within 10 turns and you should be fine. because the the Gaul will be busy with the Romans to the South.

unfortunately the germans have just invaded me full force and im sorround by guals and germans but i managed to devour most of the guallic armies and they arnt a threat any more but the germans keep coming

The Germans always do that. Just leave large armies just outside of your cities, and it's usually enough to convince them not to attack. Usually.

@Sykezdabest The Germans aren't hard to push away in the far east I have conquered from Britania to Scythia and I purchase the Germans over there just let enough defense because the Romans will attack you for sure and the gauls you'll never know
