Wow Bobby totally in his element. He even looks taller! No wonder Hugo Boss put those SS men in all black. What's with the Nehru jacket though, culture diversity?
Cinco de Mayo was celebrated on May 5th by the Mexicans. It remembers the battle of La Puebla where, outnumbered 2-1 the Mexicans beat the Frog army. If the Frogs can figure out how to have a military defeat in Antarctica and Australia, their world tour of humiliation will be complete.
NB weller: I had to think for a moment! The Aristocracy are still your own countrymen for God's sake! Are you agreeing then that it was OK to walze up to Paris and knock a few thousand heads off! Men women and young children...off with their Heads, that is what happened. A lack of leadership in France has been apparent ever since,
What particular circumstance makes it acceptable? I would welcome your view. Please bear in mind that it was a time when France wanted to chop off the heads of all the leading houses of Europe! Thankfully they failed.
This anthem can be distinguish as happy but at the same time patriotic, soviet is patriotic but it's like angry. LOL. Russian anthem patriotic but with some religiousity.
Ruined by having the image of the Jacques-Itch Chirac, a criminal. It is a good thing the Frogs have sobered up and elected a relatively sane President.. Also, the peaceful French have a line about "slitting throats" in their anthem. However, the music is powerful and Alagna's voice is excellent.
France, and every other EU nation, cease to be a sovereign nation once they joined the EU. Sing your songs in celebration of days gone by, nothing else. You're done. What was good about Europe is gone. Especially with that cunt president standing like he respects anything about France.
Don't get me wrong, I love France, it's part of my heritage. But, I won't celebrate anything that isn't true.
J'ai la chaire de poule quand j'entends cette version. La version chantée le 14 Juillet 2009 est également excellente !!! Une des meilleures préstations d'après moi
Mr Paulsing, the tune comes from a British drinking song. It was a close tie with God Bless America when Congroess chose it because the other was to close to God Save the Queen. I served 34 years in the US Army, two combat tours and two purple hearts. I feel I have earned the right to express my opinion on our National Anthem--since I helped defend it.
Beautiful..stirring...and I have no French ancestory. I think it is the wolds best natinal anthem....and I don't understand why the United States can't come up with something better then what we adopted in the 1930's as our official anthem.
Same with me. My family are descendents of Scots and Englishmen, but the French do have a good anthem. In all honesty though, I think you Yanks have got a good one as well. I'm Canadian and I really don't like the song we have, but that's just me.
Colonel RHS, Have you ever looked up the words to all the verses of the US National anthem? Do you know how many verses there are? Did you know that after both world wars, before every Broadway play or symphony concert, the audience sang three verses and most people knew them!! Please do your homework before you critisize our National Anthem which was written by a great patriot. Our Anthem reflects the beliefs and patriotism of our founders and great statesmen who followed. Paulsngs
I totally agree with you. I don't particularly like our anthem as a musical work, but it is a very powerful patriotic statement and a true masterpiece. I know all 4 verses, but I'm sad to say I'm one of a handful. I think Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever would serve as a better anthem, although lyrics probably could not be written for it, which I'm OK with, because singers today screw with them anyway by adding the random, "Yeah," or, "Baby."
I take offense to that, but agree with you. Now that we have a new president, things will change. It is sad to see so many American's go without an education and tolerance of other people... Hopefully things will change.

Jealousy of the U.S. is a wonderful thing to see among European losers. Proves we are doing something right. The day French pansies start liking us is the day we are in deep trouble.
yeah right idiot.... you've got a wonderful absence of culture, and let's not forget your now pathetic economy.... It's not a coincidence that in europe the US is asociated with human rights abuse and industrial drug use... oh... one last thing, you've never won a war by yourselves....
I just don't understand that french-usa bashing. We are the oldest allies of each other. So just VIVE the USA and VIVE la France. At the end of times we'll be on the same side, closer than brothers...

Poor silly Frogs. Without Brits/US throwing the Krauts out of your pathetic country in two World Wars, you would all be speaking German. Nation of hairdressers and poofs. Good National anthem. Has a line in it about "slitting throats". Usual Frog bluster. It is perfectly OK to be inferior. Get used to it and rejoice in the fact that Jock-itch Chirac is gone and things are looking up.
Wow, someone is dumb. If you knew a thing or two you would know that france was only partially occupied durning world war 2. Not world war 1. Its amazong how dumb people are nowadays. Excpecially this guy.
I am a proud American. To the best of my knowledge, I don't have French ancestry. But in my opinion, the French National Anthem is easily one of the best going...even better when sung!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Red pants? Probably because they wanted to hide their menstrual flow.
The Frog Army actually got their butts kicked by the Mexicans. The Mexican "Cinco de Mayo" holiday commemorates their victory over the French. As Jackie Mason says " The only war the French won was their Revolution, and that was against themeselves."
The French are superb whiners and collaborators..........but not soldiers.
Vive la france, @vanbock how old are you, read a history book. France won a bunch of wars, more than i can name Hundred Year War world war 1 world war 2 Napoleonic wars French revolution Crimean war franco-prussian war Italien war
(vanbock...) Always amazing to see "Americans" (?) exhibit their crass ignorance, while they got their asses kicked in battles just as often as any other people. The major war the US won alone was their Civil War, and that was against themselves.
Because they are human beings, like anyone of us...
And the US are a rich and powerful country. Power corrupts. Wealth leads easily to arrogance. A consuming society, where everything is easy, favours the brainless, the vulgar and the fat.
But the whole mankind is threatened: Just look most messages on YouTube...
I swear, I wish some of you people could spend a summer in the US traveling, talking to real Americans, hiking through our parks, picnicing during summer evening concerts, visiting our museums, touring cities like San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Boston, NYC, and Washington, DC. You'd get a better and more balanced picture.
"...favours the brainless, the vulgar and the fat. But the whole mankind is threatened.."
Gee, I guess we're only okay when we're kicking the Krauts out for you...
Yeah but Germany and the rest of Europe prospered because we protected you from the Soviets. WE shouldered the cost of your defense while you re-built your countries.
Shame on you.
As fro ripping off oil and gas from Iraq and Afghanistan, the plan backfired. Bush and Cheney will be out of office before that happens. Obama will be president in November and we'll leave.
We do a lot for Africa, unlike Europe that colonized it and began the slave trade.
First of all, you were looking out for your own asses, that's why you didn't care about WWII until you were attacked. Secondly, America helped in rebuilding Europe because without it you had no exports. Thirdly, what you do for Africa is nowhere near what the old colonizing countries are doing. Your only regret is that you didn't colonize it first. Just look at your track record since WWII, it's all destruction, imperialism and theft.
P.s. America was "slave central" during colonial times.

yeah right idiot.... you've got a wonderful absence of culture, and let's not forget your now pathetic economy.... It's not a coincidence that in europe the US is asociated with human rights abuse and industrial drug use... oh... one last thing, you've never won a war by yourselves....

PS: We also chased a few Germans out of France.

Fridomfry 3 years ago
Oui, T´as raison. Les "amerloques" n´on pas du respect et de la tolérance envers les autres.
Cette putain d´arrogance des "amerloques" me saoule énormément.
I think United States are a very decandent country, not history, not tradiction.
The American "culture" is: Coca-cola, McDonalds and Disneyworld.

Now is different. American are not welcome in Europe. Germany his now one of the most rich, cultivated and developed country in the world.
After the WW2, Germany start a to be one excellent example of worked country.
Now, Germany is a great prospered and very rich country.
All Europe think that it´s not correct to US troops make a war and invasion in Iraq and Afghanistan, just to stolen the oil from this country´s.
Why US troops don´t help a very poor people in Africa for example?.........
jacuba 3 years ago
Yeah but Germany and the rest of Europe prospered because we protected you from the Soviets. WE shouldered the cost of your defense while you re-built your countries.
Shame on you.
As fro ripping off oil and gas from Iraq and Afghanistan, the plan backfired. Bush and Cheney will be out of office before that happens. Obama will be president in November and we'll leave.
We do a lot for Africa, unlike Europe that colonized it and began the slave trade.
takomaguy 3 years ago
First of all, you were looking out for your own asses, that's why you didn't care about WWII until you were attacked. Secondly, America helped in rebuilding Europe because without it you had no exports. Thirdly, what you do for Africa is nowhere near what the old colonizing countries are doing. Your only regret is that you didn't colonize it first. Just look at your track record since WWII, it's all destruction, imperialism and theft.
P.s. America was "slave central" during colonial times.
