Hi. I might be interested in buying these. But I have one question, do these headphones leak a lot? And, I mean leak as in when you put them on, with volume lets say 50% do other people around you hear the music? I want a pair of headphones that don't leak.

04:27 Same happened to me twice on 2 different AKG K518 Limited Edition (1m cable)... Returned the first ones, and I got new ones, cuz it was under warranty. I really like the sound, but the build quality on the cable and plug sucks!

@MayerEO If you like that kind of sound got for it, although many think it gets quite uncomfortable after a while of wearing them because they press on the ears so much. But that's a given for supra aural headphones

They are freaking "fun" to listen to, but they are not hifi sounding. I heard the Sennheiser HD-650, which sounded so much more neutral and better for rock etc. But for the price, and for electronic music these can't be beaten!

@Mixikyr As I said, DJ headphones are not Hifi headphone, considering that they are stil fine for casual listening even though you can hear the muffled sound you mean

Really good headphones. The cable is too long, but i have cinda coiled it up to shorten it. I bought them a year ago for 60 euro, and have had no trouble at all.

ich habe vor mir die ,,518er" anzuschaffen. bin mir aber unsicher da du ihr klangspektrum anfangs als ziemlich mies beschrieben hast :(

zum ende hin versuchst du aber wieder alles ,,grade zu biegen" und verweist auf einen für anfänger mehr als akzeptablen sound. und nach diesem mix hab ich kp mehr :S

gotta disagree with your comparison with it to the HD 25's, the sennheisers are MUCH better in every aspect, as you would expect with the price differences. you get what you pay for.

XD 53 Does not suck.

The isolasion is nowhere near to what HD-25 has to offer but do not compare them to this and say they are worse than this junk. If isolation is all you care about get earmuffs.

Although I have not tried 81's myself just by the look of them there is no way they are as durable as 53's. And as far as drivers go XD53 are known to have excellent SQ.

Just wanted to say to others watching this. There are other opinions.

@CrimsonSuperNova For normal listeing I'd recommend other headphones, these a very bassy.

However, I've eseen many people use these for regular listening and they liked it.

You should test it out yourself.

i got a AKG 518. i got it with a short cable (maby around 1 meter). i only got one problem with them, if you wear them for a longer time, they with hurt your ears when you take them off. But other than that, it works fine!

@trancedj77 HD215 has perfect highs mids and nice lows ( i have them and know ) but the bass is low, i mean it is quality bass but not heavy if you listen to electronic music you hear the bass barely :( But exept from the bass everything is perfect (for me). Sorry for the bad english.

The first pair took about nine months (that was from accidental abuse = bad suttering job)
