I don't like john mayer but i do like this song however i have never really seen it be used in the correct context (IMO). It seems like it is meant for veterans who are having trouble reintegrating into society because of what they've seen and been through, those that never thought they wouldn't be able to cope and can't talk about their experiences... bucket list & the karate kid? I liked both movies but i think that someone should at least try to use the song for what it is and not its hook.

@Jaden1138 actually it was, or at least that's what Mayer said, not sure I'm buying it given the lyrics because artists write songs all the time and it could have been previously written and just used with this particular marketing strategy... Just My opinion but I think it is a bit of a better match for a post war shell shock therapy movie. when the imagery of honor & army coupled with fear & reliving a fight in ur head are used together in a song with so few lyrics. Just my interpretation tho
