@4IcyHot Of course it's fake, it's the possible behind-the-scenes machinations that upset people. The original plan was for Bulldog to retain; he was only told of the change an hour before. Some suspected that Shawn pitched a fit and demanded to win, because he wanted to be the only 'grand slam' winner (Bret had held all three titles prior to the Euro's introduction). Meltzer, however, claims that the new ending was to build heat for a rematch at a later, bigger UK PPV, where Bulldog would win.
