actually there was no slavery in tibet before 1959. it WAS a feudal society where people took land from landlords to grow stuff and they had to provide services to the landlord in return. they were provided with land to earn a living. slaves wouldn't have that right.

actually there was no slavery in tibet before 1959. it WAS a feudal society where people took land from landlords to grow stuff and they had to provide services to the landlord in return. they were provided with land to earn a living. slaves wouldn't have that right.

It only separated for about 20 years from China before reunifying again. And in those 20 years, corruption and human rights abuse was regular in Tibet. Don't be fooled, I'm sure you're smarter than to blindly believe everything CNN and other american sources say..

the problem is, china has such a huge population along with the human rights issues. if 1/5 of a country with 12 million people & 1/5 of chinese were suffering. the chinese problem would be more important. a country with so many people being affected is bound to be focused on by the world. china is also one of only 5 communist countries. democratic countries definitely have far less human rights issues. not absent but far less. pushing for democracy is the only way china can solve this problem.
