  • hell yea the 90's!!!

  • GREAT SONG!

  • i know! i love it!

  • 10 idiots were born in the 2000.

  • If I have to deal with ONE MORE Newt Gingrich F-ING Ad while I'm trying to listen to tunes I'm going to destroy something.

Now everybody find "somebody to shove"

  • @AT00LFreak: Hey genius, try getting Adblocker and you won't have to bother the rest of us with your complaints.

  • @AT00LFreak Adblock Plus.

  • IF some asylum member read this.. This fucking song is TIMELESS it rocks every single time i hit play on it.. You've created a rock masterpiece in my opinion. I miss this shivering feeling from music.

  • Rob Thomas send me here

  • Why do I have to read Rihanna underneath a Soul Asylum video?! Vevo makes me sick! >_<

  • @jscianna09 I wonder why the ads NEVER have anything to do with the genre I'm looking at!

  • I always loved River Phoenix ;)

  • Oh the good ole days......

  • Wonderful song...the lead singer is HOT!!!!

  • @0324amyg that would be dave pirner haha

  • best song ♥

  • Fuck antisemitism ... Just listen to music fucking haters !!

  • AWESOME loved this song

  • How was that anti-semitism? He just stated a fact. Everyone is so quick to holler racism nowadays. Its ridiculous.

  • My sentiments exactly! Elguitarmysterioso

  • Man, I forgot how $#@! good this song is ...

  • Thats right! jawohl herr commandant!! It the jewwwwwwwwwwws! seig heil

  • Damn i love this song! Brings back so many great memories!

  • I really dont understand who or what is VEVO but i really hate to search for vids and find it only on VEVOs channel...what a shame...

  • @osqurdt Its a company owned by Zionist Jews that collect and steal free music and call it theirs.. all part of NWO..

  • @japimportssuck Haha !

  • somebody shove me in the mosh pit dudes, man I love this song!!! cool dread locks too.

  • this song gives me chills in a good way

  • 90´s rock was fucking cool !

  • @darwleg Yes it was, it was the best to be exact. Dave Pirner is most definitely one of, if not the most underrated song writers in music history.

  • I remember when this song came out and learning the guitar to it. Playing this at parties was awsome, everyone went nuts. But like TheLate 70's said it's hard to look back and miss your youth. But thanks to Facebook I get to meet up with all the hotties I knew back then, and it's like a party all over again. Along with that come my favorite part, the groupies. Holla Ladies.

  • Soul Asylum are not, were not and never will be "grunge" It was lazy fucking journalists who looked at Dave and lumped them in with the Seattle "grunge"(stupid fucking label) bands of the era despite the fact SA were from Minneapolis and had been around for an entire decade by this time even being voted by Rolling Stone as best live band in America three years in a row. Only idiotic sheep buy into the idea that Soul Asylum were a grunge band. Just like losers who think Smash Pumpk grunge.

  • Hi my name is maherleary, I'm 17 and I am addicted to music from the nineties, as you can see this is really quite a problem because the nineties are long gone. I need some assistance.

  • Sexy sexy bitch

  • holy fucking memories batman XD

  • @MaddLagger Amen comrade music is just better than a hypnotic age regression burrito makes me want to jack a mad scientist for his time machine!

  • @TheLate70's: Why would I miss my youth? I drink better liquor, smoke finer herb, and get laid more often than I did 20 years ago :)

  • There is a fact my daughter, who is 16 years old now, use to say. "Ppl use to say the world end will b on 2012, we all know the world ended on 2000" refering to the good bands we had!

  • @analeila I agree, all this stupid techno autotune crap needs to go away. This is REAL music. REAL talent.

  • @analeila That is so cool! My 14 yr old daughter is trying to dress in 80's fashion! AND she loves the 90's bands! Thanks for sharing! ;)

  • @analeila Kind of morbidly curious as to your age....

  • I love this band.. I was only 3-4 when I heard runaway train for the first time. This music kicks ass.

  • *rocks out*

  • im only a teen, and this is way better than that crap we get today. 90's music rocks =)

  • @elianns Thank god there is those who still have taste..

  • omg this song takes me way back to my teen years holy cow

  • Soul Asylum represented the 90's very well with their music. 90's music will live forever!

  • Aww, I remember this video. Back when Dave Pirner couldn't remember if he was Axl Rose or Kurt Cobain, or both. Good song though

  • yesterday was the bass players bday

  • I seen this guys in Lima , the concert was the best in Lima in many years, comeback and buy my ticket in first line!!!!

  • I saw these guys yesterday live in concert yesterday. And I got to meet them after the show. They were really really nice and even invited me into their trailer. If you ever get the chance to meet these guys I reccomend it.

  • You know, at age 24 I'm just starting to realize how music really works. The music of the previous generation doesn't seem that great, then your generation fucks it up and you start to long for something to "wash the taste out", so to speak.

Hell, due to the recent trends in music I've strangely found Limp Bizkit and Korn listenable.

  • @PooPoo2U I know what you man, dude. Recent music seems to be all the same, so my liking for the Foo Fighters has risen dramatically. Same with anything from the '90s and early '00s (for example, Goo Goo Dolls, Blue Traveler, Hootie and the Blowfish, Puddle of Mudd, The Offspring, etc.).

  • saw these guys live prob 15yrs ago..lol..im getting old but i still love the music

  • I saw them back in the early 90's. Amazing live band. I really miss this music. :(

  • When I read the title of the song i thought it would be a Justin Bieber parody of "Somebody To Love" haha boyyy was i wrong. this is muuuuuuuch better than bieber :)

  • @lipgloss223 how can you not know this song before Justin Bieber? I'm 12 and I knew this before he came along.. >.<

  • Soul Asylum is hands down the best live band I have ever seen, ( and I have seen quite a few bands in my 40 years.) They created a wave of kinetic energy that grabbed hold of me and the rest of the crowd in a way i never experienced. It was truly a magical and life changing experience. An arena full of people came never having heard of Soul Asylum and left fans.

I really felt sorry for the Spin Doctors, who had to follow Soul Asylum.

  • Saw Soul Asylum Live tonight at the Osage Event Center, in Tulsa Oklahoma, They opened for Candlebox, The show kicked ass. They rocked it out tonight. I saw them in 1993 at "The Station" in Fern Park florida and they were as good tinight as they were back then. It was a kickass 38th Birthday for me

  • These guys aren't a "grunge" band. They formed in 1981 which was about 10 years before the media created the word "grunge." I love soul asylum. All of their songs are so addictive. I hope I can see them live soon!

  • @RockZeWorld: That doesn't mean they're not a grunge band. Black Sabbath existed before Heavy Metal and Lynyrd Skynyrd before Southern Rock, does that mean they're not still the definitive bands of the genre?

Yes, Soul Asylum are pretty much an Alternative band, but Grunge is just an offshoot of Alternative.

  • This is when phones were still on walls. Great song!

  • Thumbs up if you know ZACK SNYDER directed this video

  • MUST. HAVE. INSTRUMENTAL.

  • Oh how I miss grunge!

  • bringing back the old days..

  • 90's were the best years of my life !!!!

  • I dont think it's possible too miss my youth any harder.Fuck,if only i had known back in 93-94 how much the future would blow.

  • @TheLate70s Amen Bro

  • @TheLate70s you aint the only fuckin one brother not by a long shot

  • @wingfoot357

Right on my friend...believe me it helps to hear

  • @TheLate70s the present blows, thats exactly why I am digging these out of their grave

  • @TheLate70s Once it hit 2000, I knew it would blow. Fuck the future.

  • @TheLate70s

If we only knew to "talk hard" and listen to the voices telling us to revolt.

  • @TheLate70s everything goes in cycles

  • @TheLate70s Im 39 yrs. old and hearing this makes me feel in accord with your sentiments towards this song!

  • @051500

    Yep,I'm 38...

  • @TheLate70s I want to like that comment 1,994 times.

  • @TheLate70s Agree m8

  • @TheLate70s It is only what you make it.

  • @TheLate70s Try obeying Jesus Christ, it's the revolution.

  • @IseeJesuseverywhere but jesus was indeed homosexual, which is ok, juz saying

  • @TheLate70s . Please let me know when the time machine is operational....

  • david pirner kills my heart at 1:25 - 1:44 GOSH... so cute

  • SUCK IT HARD VEVO!

  • he is super sexified!!

  • @pbinnyc

The ad just shows how watched this 20 y/o vid still is. Think Lay Gaga will have ads in front of her crap in 2031? Lady who?

  • funboy!

  • @ouackstrax

I guess I'm the only one who got that! LOL!

  • @msjgarcia

:D I was wondering if anyone else saw the resemblance

  • @ouackstrax

    I sure did. Nice call.

  • VEVO sucks donkey dong.

  • @j4v4x

    Sucks the Big Wally.

  • I remember my hair being that long in 1992! 4 years of military hair cuts, I couldn't wait for my hair to grow! LOL!!! Yeah and I can relate to this song.

  • @pbinnyc Its actually a 18 year old video<3

  • friday morning at 5:43 on DC101 they always play this song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pbinnyc yeah and it ruins my playlist, because half the stupid "official Vevo videos" won't even load right, because of their stupid commercials. I make it a point to stay away from Vevo sponsors. I will support their competiors." F" Vevo. They will probaly remove your comment. They have done so, to some of my anti Vevo comments but "F"em anyways.

  • retahds^

  • these guys must have been enrolled in too many "alt. ed" programs

  • @Tschindler100 You do realize that "these guys" have been a band for almost 30 years now... right? And that they helped invent what we now call alternative... right?

  • I agree with you, at the time they kicked ass, but now I can't look back on them without thinking about nickelback and other imitators

  • @Tschindler100 Fail.

  • the good thing about rock is that you don't need to have a good voice to jam up. as long the beat is catchy and sings with the flow. lol

  • @aumy99 i think his voice is pretty decent, or at least mediocre. at least when compared to mine, i suck at singing.... lol youre right though.. haha

  • Vevo takes forever to load...

Does anyone else have this problem, or any other problems with Vevo?

I know for one that I do.

  • WIsh these guys didn't fade so fast...I love the album this one's from...wish they could have made a follow-up that was as good.

  • He could be Axel's brother!! I love this song rock on.....

  • Do they really think these adverts have any effect on us?

  • Who the hell is bieber

  • lmao @ all the Justin Beiber comments... Seriously, enjoy the video, Soul Asylum is not Justin Beiber.

  • I wanna shove Justin Bieber.....into a volcano.

  • damn, dave phirner looks so hot!

    I love this band.

  • I love this song, and it sums up a lot of what happened to me in 1993. In fact, I'm writing a story about it, and you can check it out at my channel. Man, I miss those days. I loved being a hormone-crazed teen in the early 90's.

  • I always liked these guys

  • and how many more times can someone do a justin bieber joke before it's no longer considered witty....

  • sick of these cocksuckers slipping advertisements in wherever they can. cant even pump gas anymore without some asshole's voice trying to sell you something.

  • Another great band from the Minne area. Really like the Grungie/Garage sound of the 80's and 90's Pure heart and soul!

  • This is a great example of a very ... *overrated* band. Very very mediocre. Still, this is a nostalgic song if you grew up in that era - as I did.

  • @aidanday Over rated? Can You tell me how you got that? I think you are dead wrong on that.

  • @hmcgill911 You must be replying to a seriously old comment (I can't remember listening to this in the last 6 months, that's for certain) - but yeah - They're always mentioned with Pearl Jam, Pumpkins and NIrvana as if they're even 1/10th as important. Trust me, I was 15/16 when this was new. Soul Asylum were a beloved MN band that had a couple big hits and that's it. They're not like, a super-important band in Alt/Rock history lol.

  • @aidanday That is what makes them a great band because they are not a part of the main stream Bullshit that is on the radio now. Their latest album is actually a token to show that this band is by far more talented than many of their peers in the early 90s and double that to the trash on the radio.

  • @hmcgill911 Wow, I don't know what to tell you. They're a totally average band; never edgy, never influential. You may *personally* like them a LOT (obviously) - but if you're writing a 300 page book on important rock music, you probably don't have room for Soul Asylum because there are so many bands that *changed* the sound or played really well or wrote wayyy better songs than these guys. That's cute that they still put out mediocre records for nostalgic fools like you to buy.

  • @aidanday You have no clue about music yourself. I am a musician of 21 years and unless you are one yourself, you will never know what true talent is. Sure, there are bands that may have "shaped" the music scene, but idiots like yourself who believe they know everything there is about music, are the very ones who have ruined the business. You couldn't write a descent book to save your life. Go back to listening to your pop music, after all.. Lady Gaga is waiting for your ignorant praises

  • lol. That's all I have to say. I listen to shit a little more edgy than silly Soul Asylum and Lady Gaga. You haven't heard of of 90% of the shit I listen to because you're a mainstream tool, living in the past. Lol @ silly music made with guitars, anyway. That's the past; I prefer the future.

  • @aidanday You are calling me main stream but yet you seem to listen to what ever is "in Fashion" at the time. You are a typical band wagoner. People like you disgust me and it is hard to believe that you actually know anything because how would you know if the future music industry is something you would like? Typical Idiot.

  • @hmcgill911 is this pop? am I a bandwagoner? This is 100 times more interesting than Soul Asylum. (youtube)/watch?v=7EgB__YratE

  • @aidanday This goes to show how much of an idiot you are, you can't even post the link correctly. Go back to listening to your trash.

  • @hmcgill911 You're so angry!!!! hahahhahahhahahahah link works for me, nub

  • @aidanday Not angry . I am having a great time laughing at your ignorance. I checked out your page. What a fag.

  • @hmcgill911 Lol, you're also into Goo Goo Dolls, another totally mediocre band. Lemme guess: Blink and Matchbox, too? BTW, your playing sucks and you dress like you're from the midwest. Try again.

  • @aidanday Never heard of blink. Second, you can't come up with anything better than that? LOL you thinkt hat actually offends me? You are an idiot.

  • Once i heard this on DC101 i had to look it up. This is awesome.

  • that song was so badass

  • This was a great time for alternative/rock/grunge music. All of us fans of that genre of music, well, what is there to say? There is nothing to hope for, maybe there will be a next Nirvana/Oasis/RATM/Spin Doctors. I doubt it since the "talent" of the bands now-a-days is so similiar and pathetic, it makes me wake to puke.

  • @TheToolatefrozen If you listen to six songs on the radio, it sounds like the first half of a shitty record until you realize it's all different bands.

  • 90´s the best music ever. this band was awesome

  • VEVO! Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • I remember shoving quite a few people to this song.... Ahhh.... Good Times!!!

  • great band, i used to think this song was so heavy

  • wow this takes my back, i nver really saw the vid till now, but i remeber exactly when i first heard this sond it was in car with my friend shawnna on a radio station i never knew existed till she showed me

  • miss your songs.. check us out

  • 1:12 (dancer at singer's left side) must've found this guy at the last minute.

  • @ecpeter xaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxa!!!!.....you are umbelievable.....!!!!!!!

  • I saw these guys live last night, they were awesome!

  • I miss the early 90's

  • @shontapl Just the early? I miss all the decade......

  • This music is soooooo memorable....I am tearing up listening to this.

  • This song brings back so many memories. Damn I miss them days. My favorite soul asylum song period!!

  • Soul Asylum ! FOREVER!

  • :D would like 2 tap the lead singer

  • fuck poptart pop ups

  • Soul asylum's somebody to shove is so much better than justin biebers somebody to love.
