The problem is subprime lending and a financial structure that allows the fed to make money out of thin air and advance false credit to failing banks left and right thus "cutting interest rates". All of this has led to poor decisions in both private and public sectors and a collapse of the national economy. The presidency has very little to do with that.
But you're missing point: The show has been run by VP Cheney; Bush is little more than the mouthpiece/spokesperson, and a terrible one at that; he's lost without a teleprompter. Bullshit. First of all, I am not a Bush fan. He has run this country very poorly. The economy, however, has very little to do with him. The problem is subprime lending and a financial structure that allows the fed to make money out of thin air and advance false credit to failing banks left and right thus "cutting interest rates". All of this has led to poor decisions in both private and public sectors and a collapse of the national economy. The presidency has very little to do with that.

But you're missing point: The show has been run by VP Cheney; Bush is little more than the mouthpiece/spokesperson, and a terrible one at that; he's lost without a teleprompter. The poor guy's under medication, he's drinking again, and now he's lost what's left of his dignity courtesy of a lowly Iraqi journalist. On 9/11, he was clueless, like a scared child. He has even said (publicly, twice) that he saw the first plane on TV (btw.. how could have done?). Cheney, on the other hand.....

That's all fine, but again it has nothing to do with the economy. The war, yes. Economy, no. The financial crisis is secondary to a fundamentally unstable system of banks and lending agencies aided by congress furthering the problem by overspending and bailing out bad behavior. Leave it to the U.S. government to try and fix a problem by the same mechanism that caused the problem in the first place: lending money you don't have to already insolvent financial institutions. Cheney=irrelevant.

At the time I felt the same way. I thought that who really gave a crap about Iraq. It's some dead end country. But look what we have made of the country? It's a lot better then with Saddam. We went to the fight on false information (I disapprove of Bush for that) but we liberated the country. Even people in his administration advised him against it. But he kept on. It's one of his accomplishments. I'll tell you that. I'll talk to you further about this in messages.

Be honest. People didn't just celebrate that Barack won because he's black. They won because people liked him more, and people all over the world think negatively of bush.

All of that aside, if you honestly think that Bush caused a world-wide recession, you should probably stop watching Keith Olberman and Michael Moore interviews.
The credit crisis began during the Clinton administration when he pushed the Community Reinvestment Act. Do some research and you will find that Bush actually warned of this in 2003 and was scoffed at. (If your reply begins with F-anything, don't bother.)

Among them was the incorrect credit assessment of mortgage-backed securities (MBS). Rating agencies are familiar with rating corporates - that is traditional companies which have understandable cash flow and debt metrics. The underlying risk of MBS were not properly assessed by the rating agencies or the insurance companies, as these structures are often highly complex.

For your information I've lived in America for say...10 years now. I'm getting along fine actually, got a job in Idaho being building maintenance and getting $15 a hour. Sure, I don't agree with some things he's done.
