I agree. I felt an entirely different feeling towards Crows. Blue Spring and All About Lily Chou Chou evoke a similar feeling if anyone is interested. I also prefer both by far.

@bobbybulletbobson I don think so, in a sense Blue Spring plot wise grew throughout the movie, character developed, climatic ending, good song and the film capture the essence of high school gangsters. What Ryuhei brings to the movie cannot be enveloped by any other actor; he simply shines, plus the other cast were on par with him.

Crows Zero for me just a rampage of violent fightscenes although its truly complement the director.

I'am a big fan of crows zero, and a big fan of blue spring. But these are very difrerent type of movies. Blue spring is more of a psychological/tragic movie with only few fight ... but if anyone know about any other movies like blue spring....

@fallenshoes you should check out 9 Souls and Tokyo Rampage, both movies are from the same director of Blue Spring. Both movies have the same feeling as Blue Spring.

Crows Zero, Fighting Elegy, 9 Lives, Conduct Zero and (It revolves around adolescent delinquents, but not the best) Tokyo Rampage.

There is one more movie similar to this, but.........It is more like a parody on delinquents. The movie is called "Cromartie High School: The Movie". It's based off a manga and anime....

I am always searching for Japanese Delinquent movies, so I'll keep you posted if I find more.

@fallenshoes Have you seen the Singaporean film 15. Its completely different to Blue Spring but its about the same subject. 15 however is played by real street kids and not actors and the kids play themselves. Best film ever in my eyes and alot better than Blue Spring
