Wide awake was written years before it was released. Thats why he released digital ash and wide awake at the same time. Reason being he didnt want to tour and play the same songs hes been playing for years already. =]

Road to Joy is on Wide Awake which wasn't released until 2005. But you're right, it does sound like it.
